The lens apparatus is configured to switch between a first driving mode for performing autofocus by moving both the first optical system and the second optical system in optical axis directions of the first optical system and the second optical system via the driving unit, and a second driving mode for adjusting a difference in imaging position for a same object image between the first optical system and the second optical system by moving the at least one of the first optical system and the second optical system in the optical axis direction via the driving unit.

A stereo lens apparatus includes two optical systems arranged in parallel. Each of the two optical systems includes, in order from an object side to an image side, first to third lens units. A determination unit determines a recording direction in accordance with the observation direction. An image recording unit records an image corresponding to the recording direction from among a picked-up image. The detection unit and the image pickup unit are located on a user's median plane and under a user's jaw in a worn state where the user wears the image pickup apparatus.
