A projector includes an exterior enclosure having an intake port and a discharge port, a heat source, a fan that causes a cooling gas to flow to the heat source, a loudspeaker that is disposed between one of the two openings, and the fan in the channel of the cooling gas and outputs a sound wave according to a drive signal inputted to the loudspeaker, a characteristic data storage section that stores frequency characteristic data on the frequency characteristics of discrete frequency noise, broadband noise, and in-apparatus environmental noise, and a control section that generates the drive signal, and the control section includes a characteristic acquisition section that acquires the frequency characteristic data corresponding to the rotational speed of the fan per unit time, a waveform generation section that generates the waveform of an interference sound, and a signal output section that outputs the drive signal.

Projector, cooling apparatus, and control method

A projector according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an optical path changer that is provided between an image formation unit and an projection optical unit and changes the optical path of image light from the image formation unit, a linkage frame that links the image formation unit and the projection optical unit to each other, and a vibration absorbing member that absorbs vibration generated by the optical path changer. The optical path changer includes a base member, an optical member, and a swing frame that supports the optical member and is swingably supported relative to the base member. The vibration absorbing member has vibration absorbing surfaces that are in contact with the base member of the optical path changer, and the vibration absorbing surfaces are in contact with support surfaces of the linkage frame to cause the support surfaces to support the optical path changer.

Projector

An optical device includes an optical device including, a movable frame configured to hold an optical member, and a coupling frame to be coupled to the movable frame via an oscillation axis, and a stationary frame to which the coupling frame is fixed via a vibration absorbing member. The stationary frame has a shaft part to which the vibration absorbing member is attached, and a first surface and a second surface opposed to each other outside the shaft part, the coupling frame is disposed so as to be separated from the shaft part, the first surface, and the second surface with the vibration absorbing member, and a thickness of the vibration absorbing member existing between the coupling frame and the first surface and/or the second surface is thicker than a thickness of the vibration absorbing member existing between the coupling frame and the shaft part of the stationary frame.

Optical device and image display device

A projector includes a light source, a light modulation device configured to modulate light emitted from the light source, a polarization element arranged to one of a light incident side and a light exiting side of the light modulation device, a projection device configured to project the light modulated by the light modulation device, a casing in which the polarization element is arranged and whose inside is filled with a cooling liquid, and a circulation device configured to circulate the cooling liquid in the casing onto the polarization element. The cooling liquid circulates along a first direction on the light incident side of the polarization element. A projector includes a light source device, a plurality of light modulation devices each adapted to modulate a light beam emitted from the light source device, a light combining device adapted to combine the light beams respectively modulated by the light modulation devices, a projection optical device adapted to project the light beam combined by the light combining device, a housing in which the light modulation devices and the light combining device are disposed, the housing having a first cooling liquid encapsulated inside, a stirring device adapted to stir the first cooling liquid inside the housing, and a control device disposed outside the housing and connected to the housing, the control device adapted to control the light modulation devices. The housing has a connection section connecting the control device and a plurality of light modulation device side signal lines respectively extending from the light modulation devices to each other.

A projector includes a light source, a light modulation device configured to modulate a light output from the light source, a projection optical device configured to project the light modulated by the light modulation device, a casing containing at least a part of the light modulation device and having an interior filled with a cooling liquid, a circulating device configured to circulate the cooling liquid at least to a light exiting side of a modulation part in the light modulation device, and a control device configured to control an operation of the circulating device. The control device changes an operation level of the circulating device.

Projector and operation control method

A projector includes a cooling device cooling a liquid crystal panel. The cooling device includes a heat receiving part receiving heat of the liquid crystal panel, a Peltier device having a heat absorbing part that absorbs the heat of the heat receiving part and a heat generating part that generates heat when the absorbing part absorbs heat, a heat sink provided so that heat may be transferred to the heat generating part, and a heat pipe containing a hydraulic fluid inside, in which heat is transferred by convection of the hydraulic fluid. The heat sink has a stacking part superimposed on the Peltier device and a projecting part projecting from the Peltier device as seen from the Peltier device side, and the heat pipe has an interior part located between the Peltier device and the stacking part and an extending part extending along the projecting part.

In at least one embodiment of the disclosure, a projector comprises an optical element holding member that allows a flow of a cooling liquid therein. A plurality of liquid circulation members connect the optical element holding member and a liquid pumping unit and to define a flow channel of the cooling liquid. A heat-receiving jacket is disposed in the flow channel and has a plurality of flow channels. A thermoelectric conversion element having a heat-absorbing surface is connected to the heat-receiving jacket and a heat-radiating surface is connected to a heat transfer member. A supporting member fixes the heat-receiving jacket and the heat transfer member. A baffle member defines an internal space with the supporting member and houses the heat transfer member in the internal space. A cooling fan provides cooling air to the heat transfer member disposed in the internal space.

Liquid-cooling device and projector

In at least one embodiment of the disclosure, a liquid-cooling device to cool an optical element in a projector includes an optical element holding member configured to allow a flow of a cooling liquid therein and to hold the optical element so as to transfer heat to the cooling liquid. A liquid pumping unit is configured to circulate the cooling liquid. Liquid circulation members are configured to connect the optical element holding member and the liquid pumping unit and to define a flow channel of the cooling liquid. A thermoelectric conversion element has a heat-absorbing surface and a heat-radiating surface. The thermoelectric conversion element is connected to the liquid-cooling device to transfer the heat from the cooling liquid to the heat-absorbing surface.

A projector includes: a liquid-cooling device configured to cool down a cooling target using cooling liquid, a liquid storage unit including a storage unit body that temporarily stores cooling liquid therein; and an outflow portion that connects the inside and outside of the storage unit body and allows the cooling liquid stored in the storage unit body to flow out to the outside, and the liquid storage unit is disposed in such a manner that the cooling liquid flows out of the outflow portion in a direction substantially orthogonal to a projection direction of an image from the projector and substantially parallel to a horizontal plane.

A heat exchanger which is hollow and contains a plurality of small flow paths includes: a plurality of partition walls disposed in parallel with one another in the width direction of the heat exchanger to form the plural small flow paths; and an inlet unit and an outlet unit configured to communicate with the inside and the outside of the heat exchanger, and allow cooling liquid to flow into and out of the heat exchanger through the inlet unit and the outlet unit, the inlet unit and the outlet unit extend in directions opposite to each other along the width direction from a pair of center positions located approximately at the centers of inner side surfaces of the heat exchanger in the width direction and opposed to each other, and penetrate outer side surfaces of the heat exchanger.

Optical device and projector

A projector includes: an optical component disposed inside a closed structure having air flow path through which air flows; and a circulating fan which circulates air. The closed structure includes: an optical component housing which accommodates the optical component; a duct which introduces air into the optical component housing, and introduces the air having flowed to the outside from the inside of the optical component housing again toward the inside of the optical component housing; and a plurality of heat exchangers each of which has a heat receiving side heat transfer member which faces the inside of the closed structure, and a heat releasing side heat transfer member which faces the outside of the closed structure. The plural heat exchangers are disposed in the air flow direction along the air flow path through which air flows to the outside from the inside of the optical component housing.
