Provided is an ophthalmic surgical instrument which can prevent curving of a pipe during a surgical procedure and can pull out a reinforcement sleeve by a required length such that the reinforcement sleeve covers the pipe. An ophthalmic surgical instrument () working in an eyeball includes a body portion () having a through-hole, a reinforcement sleeve () contacting an inner surface of the through-hole of the body portion (), a pipe () passing through the inside of the reinforcement sleeve () and having a working portion () protruding from a tip end, and a movement member () connected to the pipe () and sliding in an axial direction of the ophthalmic surgical instrument to slide the pipe (). A first slide mechanism allowing the reinforcement sleeve () to slide in the axial direction of the ophthalmic surgical instrument and a second slide mechanism allowing the pipe () to slide in the axial direction of the vitreous forceps are provided. Any one of the first and second slide mechanisms is an independent slide mechanism not influenced by the other slide mechanism.

Ophthalmic surgical instrument

Ophthalmic forceps include: a tubular body; a pair of neck portions; a pair of slit formation portions provided on a tip end side of the neck portions; a pair of gripping portions provided on a tip end side of the slit formation portions; and substantially S-shaped portions formed at portions extending from the neck portions to the slit formation portions. When the tubular body slides to house an entirety of the neck portions in an inner cavity of the tubular body, gripping surfaces of the gripping portions are in surface contact with each other, and a slit is formed between the pair of slit formation portions.

Ophthalmic forceps

There are provided ophthalmic tweezers capable of easily adjusting the strength of a gripping force depending on use conditions. Ophthalmic tweezers () include a tweezers section () which has a tubular body (), a pair of neck portions (), and a pair of grippers () located on the leading end side of the neck portions (). The tweezers section () has a structure in which the grippers () are closed by causing the tubular body () to slide such that the neck portions () are housed in the inner cavity of the tubular body (). The neck portions () each have a first curved or bent portion () having a convex shape on the central axis side of the tubular body () and a second curved or bent portion () having a concave shape on the central axis side of the tubular body (). The first curved or bent portion () is located on the tubular body side, and the second curved or bent portion () is located on the gripper side.

Ophthalmic tweezers

A medical knife has a flat projection shape of a cutting part formed in an approximate rhomboid shape including a front end part, a widest part with the largest width, and a side surface part formed between the front end part and the widest part. A front side bevel constituting an edge on the front side and a back side bevel constituting an edge on the back side are individually formed, having as a boundary a virtual surface including an edge formed along the periphery of the cutting part. A ratio of the angle &#x3b2; between the virtual surface and the back side bevel to the angle &#x3b1; between the virtual surface and the front side bevel at the front end part is greater than the ratio of the angle &#x3b8; between the virtual surface and the back side bevel to the angle &#x3b1; at the side surface part.
