In a medical system including a medical imaging device and a robotic bed, the table may be movable between a first position where a maximum dimension of the robot arm not hidden under the table is less than one fourth of a longitudinal dimension of the table when the table is viewed from vertically above, and a second position where a maximum dimension of the robot arm not hidden under the table is one fourth of a longitudinal dimension of the table or more when the table is viewed from vertically above. The second position may be an imaging position or an imaging preparation position where an image is taken by the medical imaging device. The first position may be surgery position where a shortest distance between the robotic bed and a location of the medical imaging device is at least a predetermined distance.

A robotic operating table according to one or more embodiments may include: a table on which to place a patient; a robotic arm including a plurality of joints, and including a first end supported on a base fixed to a floor, and a second end supporting the table; an operation device including: a move operation receiving unit that receives, from a user, a move operation to move the table, and a register operation receiving unit that receives, from a user, a register operation to register a position of a movement destination of the table and a movement-destination set operation; a memory; and a controller that causes the robotic arm to move the table based on the move operation received by the move operation receiving unit.

When the move-operation receiving unit is operated while one of the registered anesthetization, surgical operation, and imaging positions is set as the movement destination of the table, the robotic arm may move the table to the set one of the registered anesthetization, surgical operation, and imaging positions.

A robotic operating table according to one or more embodiments may include: a patient placement table; a robotic arm comprising a plurality of joints, and having a first end supported on a base and a second end supporting the table; a light emitter provided to the table; and an operation device including a move operation unit that receives, from a user, a move operation to move the table. In one or more embodiments, while the move operation unit is receiving the move operation to move the table, the light emitter may emit light.

An operation device according to one or more embodiments may include: a display; a move operation receiving unit that receives, from a user, a move operation to move a table on which a patient can be placed of an operating table; and an operation controller. In a condition in which the table is put in a tilted posture in accordance with the move operation, the operation controller may cause the display to display an elapsed time in the tilted posture.

A patient placement table moving method may be used with a robotic operating table including a patient placement table, a base buried in or fixed to a floor and an articulated robotic arm including joints and having first and second ends. The first end may be supported on the base to be rotatable about an axis extending in a vertical direction. The second end may support the table. The method may include: horizontally arranging the table by the robotic arm at an imaging position for imaging with a medical imaging apparatus; and translating the table from the imaging position to a surgical operation position by the robotic arm. The surgical operation position may be away from the imaging position by 200 mm or more in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction in a horizontal plane, and the first direction is parallel with a longitudinal direction of the table.
