A cylinder device includes a regulation mechanism that regulates separation distance between a front piston and a rear piston. A spring seat member of the regulation mechanism includes a spring reception part that projects toward a retainer side to receive a rear end of a spring, a cup seal holding part that projects on an opposite side from the retainer to hold a cup seal arranged on the rear piston, and a projection part that projects on the opposite side from the retainer. The projection part becomes abuttable on the retainer by a stroke of the rear piston if the spring reception part and the cup seal holding part are installed reversely-oriented on the rear piston.

Further, a clearance is formed between an inner peripheral wall of the cylinder body and a first groove portion and second groove portion which are formed on an outer surface of the restriction pin.

An electric connection structure of a solenoid valve drive assembly has a solenoid valve, a coil that drives the solenoid valve, and a housing in which the solenoid valve and the coil are located, so that a terminal of the coil and a terminal inside the housing are electrically connected to each other. In the electric connection structure, a coil urging part that urges the coil is provided between the housing and the coil, and the coil urging part has: a base portion to be attached to the housing, and an elastic portion that extends from the base portion to press the coil.

A normally open electromagnetic valve includes: a fixed core; a movable core which is driven when excited; a valve seat member in the fixed core and having a funnel-shaped valve seat surface; a valve member disposed so that the valve member advances or retreats together with the movable core with one end of the valve member kept in contact with the movable core, and that the other end of the valve member closes or opens a flow passage by coming into contact with or separates from the valve seat surface; and a return spring. The fixed core has a cylindrical holding hole. The valve member advances or retreats being guided by the holding hole in sliding contact with the holding hole. The movable core has a projection which projects toward the fixed core and which is directly inserted into the holding hole.

The present invention provides an input device of a vehicle brake system, the input device being a separate unit from an electric brake actuator, the electric brake actuator for generating a first fluid pressure, the input device of the vehicle brake system comprising: a master cylinder for generating a second fluid pressure; a stroke simulator for applying a simulated reaction force, the stroke simulator and the master cylinder forming an attachment body, with the stroke simulator disposed in communication with the master cylinder; and a component storage box provided on the attachment body for a component of either one of the master cylinder and the stroke simulator, wherein the attachment body has a vent hole with a first end in communication with the component storage box and a second end in communication with a space formed before a surface of a dashboard having the input device mounted thereon.
