A vibration isolator is a vibration isolator for supporting a speaker box to a chassis of an electronic apparatus and includes a main body having a bar shape, and an attachment piece having a plate shape, the attachment piece including a hole portion through which a screw thread to fix the vibration isolator to the speaker box is passed through, the attachment piece being provided to protrude from the main body. The main body includes a core and a rubber material covering a surface of the core, and the attachment piece is made of the rubber material.

An electronic apparatus includes: a first chassis; a second chassis; a first display provided on an upper surface of the first chassis; a second display provided on an upper surface of the second chassis; and a hinge device that connects the first chassis and the second chassis. The hinge device includes: a first bracket including a first fixing plate fixed to the first chassis; a second bracket including a second fixing plate fixed to the second chassis; a first hinge block that supports a first upper hinge shaft and a first lower hinge shaft arranged vertically between adjacent end surfaces of the first chassis and the second chassis in a flat plate form; and a second hinge block.

Electronic apparatus and hinge device

A portable information device includes a display extending over a first chassis and a second chassis, and a bezel disposed straddling over an outer edge of the display and a chassis frame, adjacent to the outer edge, of the first chassis and the second chassis and having a bending part. The bending part includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes first and second side portions. The first side portion is fixed to a front face of the outer edge and the second side portion is disposed to be relatively movable with respect to the chassis frame, in a width direction straddling over the outer edge and the chassis frame of the first chassis and the second chassis. The second member is fixed to a front face of the first member and made of a material more flexible than that of the first member.

Portable information device

An electronic device includes a chassis, an input device provided on a top surface of the chassis and configured to receive an input operation, and a pen holder provided so as to project from a side surface of the chassis and configured to be able to hold a pen device in a posture along the side surface. The pen holder has a pen holding part composed of stretchy fabric formed into a loop and configured to be able to hold the pen device by insertion of the pen device through its inner periphery part, and a bracket having a cutout part in which a part of the pen holding part is disposed and to be fixed to the chassis.

Electronic device and information device system

A portable information device capable of reducing a gap between two displays is described. The portable information device includes a first chassis, a second chassis adjacent to the first chassis, a first display provided on a top surface of the first chassis, a second display provided on a top surface of the second chassis, a hinge device, and at least one link mechanism operating in conjunction with the rotational operation between the first chassis and the second chassis by the hinge device. At least one of the first chassis and the second chassis is provided to be relatively slidable with respect to the hinge device along an arranging direction of the first chassis and the second chassis. The link mechanism includes a first slider, a first shaft output portion, a second slider, a second shaft output portion, and a driving part.

Portable information device having chassis rotatably connected by a hinge

A keyboard device includes: a base member having a top face on which a first unit and a second unit are placed; a driving part configured to relatively move the first unit and the second unit between a storage position and a usage position; at the storage position, the first side face and the second side face meshing with each other while being displaced in a front-rear direction of the keyboard device; at the usage position, the first side face and the second side face meshing with each other without being displaced in the front-rear direction so that the units are placed side by side in a left-right direction of the keyboard device to define a single keyboard; and an operating member configured to move the first unit and the second unit between the usage position and the storage position.

Keyboard device

An electronic apparatus capable of preventing keytops or a pointing stick from protruding from a chassis top surface when not being in use is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a set of keytops each movable up and down between a first position to which the keytop ascends by a biasing force of a rubber dome and a second position to which the keytop descends against the biasing force; a set of drive members each extend along the left-right direction, each movable in the left-right direction relative to the keytops; a link member connecting adjacent drive members to enable coordinated operation; and a drive mechanism that moves one of the drive members connected by the link member.

Apparatus for preventing keytops from protruding from a top surface of an electronic apparatus

A portable information device includes a first chassis member, a second chassis member, a hinge mechanism, a display and a bezel member provided to bridge an outer peripheral edge portion of the display and an outer peripheral edge portion of the first and second chassis members. The bezel member is arranged farther away from the inner surfaces of the first and second chassis members than a rotation center of the hinge mechanism. The bezel member has a buffer portion at least at a position overlapping a bent portion of the display. The buffer portion can absorb compressive force F applied thereto as the first and the second chassis members are folded from a flat opened state.

A portable information device has a configuration in which a body chassis and a display chassis are turnably coupled by hinge mechanisms. The portable information device is provided with an operation portion operable from the outside and a power transmission portion provided between the operation portion and the hinge mechanism and transmitting an operating force to the operation portion to the hinge mechanisms to turn the body chassis and the display chassis.

Portable information device and docking device

An electronic device having a pointing stick is disclosed. The electronic device includes a base member for supporting a pointing stick. The base member has a first pressed part provided on one side of the pointing stick with respect to a sliding direction of a slide member and a second pressed part provided on the other side of the pointing stick. The slide member has a first pressing part capable of pressing the first pressed part of the base member and a second pressing part capable of pressing the second pressed part.

Electronic device having a pointing stick

A docking station is provided. The docking station has an engagement member, a coupling detector, a connector, an advancing and retracting mechanism, and a controller. The engagement member can be inserted into an engagement hole of a portable information device. The coupling detector detects whether or not the engagement member has been engaged with the engagement hole. The connector can be connected to a connection terminal provided in a side surface of the portable information device. The advancing and retracting mechanism is operated by the driving force of a motor to advance and retract the connector to connect and separate the connector to/from the connection terminal. The controller operates the advancing and retracting mechanism when it is detected that the portable information device is coupled with the docking station to advance the connector to connect the connector to the connection terminal.

Docking station

An electronic apparatus includes a portable information apparatus and the docking device. The docking device includes an impact sound generation mechanism that generates an impact sound when the portable information apparatus is placed on an apparatus placement portion. The impact sound generation mechanism includes: a detector configured to detect that the portable information apparatus is placed on the apparatus placement portion.

Docking device

A low-cost electronic device capable of storing keycaps within a chassis is disclosed. The electronic device includes a support plate; a set of keycaps supported above the top face of the support plate, the keycaps moving up and down between the operating position and the storage position; and a frame functioning as a driving member that is movable relative to the keycaps in the direction parallel to the top face of the support plate. Each keycap has a pressure-receiving part. The frame has pressing parts that move relative to the keycaps to come in contact with the pressure-receiving parts.
