A gearshift device for an automatic transmission that prevents inadvertent gearshift operations. The gearshift device includes a shaft-shaped gearshift member partially exposed from a housing so as to be rotatable relative to the housing about a rotation axis and movable sidewards in at least a first direction that intersects the rotation axis. The gearshift member is rotated to a plurality of rotation positions respectively corresponding to the gear positions of the automatic transmission. A movement restriction unit permits movement of the gearshift member in the first direction only when the gearshift member is rotated to a selected one of the rotation positions to determine shifting to the gear position corresponding to the selected one of the rotation positions. A control unit provides the automatic transmission with a gearshift control signal corresponding to the selected one of the rotation positions.

Gearshift device

A vehicle door handle device, includes a cylinder lock for locking and unlocking a locking mechanism of an opening/closing panel, and a pair of pivot members pivotally attached to the opening/closing panel. One pivot member of the pair of pivot members is formed of a shutter capable of opening and closing a key insert hole of the cylinder lock, and another pivot member of the pair of pivot members has a pivotal force transmitting portion for transmitting a pivotal force in a direction to open the key insert hole to the one pivot member and is formed of an operating handle for opening and closing the opening/closing panel.

Vehicle door handle device

A vehicle electronic portable key system including a master key and sub-key. A retainer is arranged in the vehicle to retain the sub-key. A control unit determines whether the master key or sub-key is located in a vehicle interior or exterior wireless communicatable area. When the key is located in one of the wireless communicatable areas, the control unit permits various operations of the vehicle in accordance with the communicable area in which the key is located. The control unit determines that the sub-key is in a lent state if the sub-key is removed from the retainer when the master key is located in the interior wireless communicatable area. In a state in which the sub-key is located in one of the wireless communicatable areas after removal from the retainer, the control unit limits the operations of the vehicle unless the sub-key is determined as being in the lent state.

Vehicle electronic key system

A mechanical key code verification system including a mechanical key and a lock apparatus into which the mechanical key is inserted. The mechanical key includes a key body. A key code pattern formed on the key body includes a plurality of recessed portions and a plurality of non-recessed portions. A wireless communication mechanism is incorporated in the key body which performs wireless communication with a communication device. The wireless communication device including an antenna arranged on the key body. The lock apparatus mechanically verifies the key code pattern of the mechanical key when the mechanical key is inserted therein. The recessed portions of the key code pattern of the mechanical key is located inward from the antenna on the key body.

Mechanical key code verification system

A card type mechanical key including a card member having a card surface and an edge portion. The card member includes a mechanical code pattern formed by partially eliminating the card surface or the edge portion and functioning as a verification code mechanically verifiable by a lock device. A fitting member is fitted to the mechanical code pattern. A concealment sticker is adhered removably to the card member in a state in which the fitting member is fitted to the mechanical code pattern of the card member so as to conceal the mechanical code pattern and the fitting member.

Card type mechanical key

A tumbler-type key verification system including a tumbler-type key and a lock apparatus. The lock apparatus includes a support member, a movable member movable relative to the support member, tumblers which are biased by tumbler springs and are arranged to engage with the support member and the movable member, and a lock mechanism that reinforces the locking strength of the tumblers. The lock mechanism having a two-piece structure including a first piece movably accommodated in the movable member and a second piece movably accommodated in the support member. The lock mechanism reinforces the locking strength of the tumblers by having the first piece or the second piece engage both the movable member and the support member before the tumbler-type key is inserted into the lock apparatus or when the tumbler-type key is being inserted into the lock apparatus.

Tumbler-type key verification system

A valet key storage device, includes a valet key storage portion for storing a valet key having an opening, a locking bar for locking the valet key, a driving section for driving the locking bar to be inserted into the opening of the valet key, and a control section for controlling the driving section to insert the locking bar into the opening of the valet key or remove the locking bar therefrom.

Valet key storage device

A key case comprises three parts, a center body, a first case piece, and a second case piece. The center body has a first cavity which side facing the first case piece is opened. The second case piece has four tabs extending toward the first case piece at positions substantially opposite to the peripheral surface of the first cavity. Each tab includes a claw on its distal end. The center body has apertures through which the corresponding tabs can pass therethrough. Following to each aperture, a groove and a shoulder are formed in the peripheral surface of the first cavity. A wireless module is contained in the first cavity while claws pass through the corresponding apertures to be engaged with the shoulders. The wireless module is sized to prevent the claws from disengaging from the shoulders.

Key device and method for assembling the same

A lock for a lid that opens and closes a box. The lock includes a latch. The latch engages a catch to prevent the lid from opening when the lid is closed. A crank moves between a locking position and an unlocking position. The crank engages the latch at the locking position and is disengaged from the latch at the unlocking position. A handle is used to open the lid from an outer side of the box. The handle moves the crank from the locking position to the unlocking position. A lever is used to open the lid from an inner side the box. The lever moves the holding member from the locking position to the unlocking position. A key-operated mechanism shifts the crank between an operational position, at which the handle works, and a non-operational position, at which the handle cannot work.

Box lock with safety device

A 2-L slider supported by a shaft so as to be slidable in a predetermined range substantially in a vehicle transverse direction that, when pressed by a shift lever which is being a select-operated to an &ldquo;L&rdquo; position, slides toward a detent wall against an urging force of a compression coil spring. At this time, a cam portion provided at the 2-L slider presses a press receiving block provided at a shift lock plate downward. Thus, a slider which slides with the shift lock plate moves downward. A position detecting mechanism detects that the slider has moved downward. The position detecting mechanism is not a mechanism specially provided for detecting select operation to the &ldquo;L&rdquo; position, but a mechanism for detecting whether or not the shift lever is positioned at a &ldquo;P&rdquo; position. Therefore, costs can be kept down.

Shift lever device

A lighting device for a zigzag-operated shift lever, wherein an indicator plate is light-transmissible, the indicator plate has a two-layer structure having an upper member, in which the upper surface other than the area of a position indicator is shaded and the position indicator is illuminated by lighting means, and a lower member, in which the light from the lighting means is transmitted to the peripheral portion of a operation groove at the indicator plate so that the peripheral portion of the operation groove is illuminated. A portion of the light from the lighting means passes through the upper member so that the position indicator is illuminated. Because nothing shades the upper surface of the lower member, the remaining portion of the light is repeatedly reflected by the border between the upper and lower members and by the lower surface of the lower member. The light is transmitted to the peripheral portion of the operation groove within the lower member. As a result, the area of the position indicator, the side surfaces of the operation groove at the driver's seat side and the front passenger's seat side are illuminated.
