An economical and highly reliable vehicle theft prevention device imposes a reduced load on a vehicle's battery. The theft prevention device includes a remote control having a transmitter. On the vehicle, there is provided a current controlling circuit which allows a receiver for the transmitter to operate for only a predetermined period of time. The receiver is allowed to operate for the predetermined period of time immediately after the ignition switch is opened, and immediately after a designated electrical accessory switch of the vehicle is closed.

Vehicle theft prevention device with a low powered receiver

An electronic control member for preventing the stealing of a vehicle and an electronic control member for controlling ignition timing of an ignition device formed integrally and disposed in one package to thereby provide an antitheft apparatus for a vehicle which is small, economical, and highly capable of preventing theft. The antitheft apparatus for a vehicle includes an immobilizer, an antitheft electronic control member, an ignition device, a sensor, a remote control member and an alarm member.

Antitheft apparatus for a vehicle

A protector block is movable in a direction in which a key K can be inserted, and first engaging portions which engage each other when the protector block is pushed in are formed between the protector block and an outer lock cylinder. A crankshaft is movable in the direction in which the key K can be inserted, and second engaging portions which engage each other when the crankshaft is pushed in are formed between the crankshaft and the outer lock cylinder. When an object in place of a key is inserted into a key insertion hole and attempts are made to forcibly turn the object while pushing the object, the first engaging portions between the protector block and the outer lock cylinder engage each other, preventing the crankshaft from being turned. When attempts are made to turn an inserted object while pulling the object, the second engaging portions between the crankshaft and the outer lock cylinder engage each other, preventing the crankshaft from being turned. In combination with tumblers preventing the crankshaft from being turned, the above structure makes it highly difficult to unlock the handle lock device.

Handle lock device

An engine output control and a constant vehicle speed control switch adapted to effect easy release of the control. The control comprises a throttle grip, a valve link with a return spring and a constant speed control, and a cable connecting these elements. The switch is connected to the cable and is responsive to the tension of an inner wire of the latter.

Engine output control device and constant vehicle speed control release

A constant vehicle speed retaining device for motorcycle, comprising a control mechanism connected to a cable provided between a throttle valve and a throttle grip, for controlling the angle of opening of the throttle valve during the time interval between a constant speed control command and a cancellation command. A set switch generates the constant speed command, and a cancellation switch generates the cancellation command to the control mechanism. The cancellation switch is located near the throttle grip and operates in response to rotation of the latter in a decelerating direction.
