A fuser unit with a cleaning mechanism, including: a set of a heat roller and a pressure roller for sandwiching a recording sheet while heating the recording sheet by the heat roller; a feed roller for feeding a band-shaped cleaning member which is windable; a press roller for pressing the fed cleaning member against a surface of the heat roller or the pressure roller; a wind roller for winding the cleaning member which is pressed by the press roller; and a first reverse rotation preventing mechanism for preventing rotation of the press roller from rotating in the opposite direction to the winding direction of the cleaning member.

Fuser unit with cleaning mechanism and image forming apparatus having the same

A fixing apparatus that fuses and firmly adheres an unfixed developer onto a recording medium includes a heating roller and a pressure roller; a belt-shaped cleaning member that is disposed so as to abut on the heating roller and cleans the surface of the heating roller, the cleaning member being impregnated with oil in advance; a feed roller that sends out the cleaning member; a wind-up roller that winds up the cleaning member having cleaned the heating roller; a press-contact roller disposed so as to press the cleaning member against the heating roller on which the cleaning member abuts; and an oil absorbing layer that is disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the press-contact roller and absorbs oil exudation out of the cleaning member.

Fixing apparatus

A sheet feeder device is provided with a pick-up roller driving section which is operative to position the pick-up roller into a retracted position spaced a predetermined distance apart from a stack of document sheets on a document tray before and after the operation for feeding the series of document sheets, into a sheet feed position in which the pick-up roller abuts against the stack of document sheets for feeding the document sheets at an occasion of feeding of each of the document sheets in the operation for feeding the series of document sheets, and into the standby position above and close to the height of a stack of a maximum load number of document sheets carried on the document tray during a period from a point in time just after feeding of one sheet to a point in time just before feeding of a succeeding sheet.

Sheet feeder device and image forming apparatus

A two-side image forming apparatus of the present invention is provided with a first sheet-transferring path, for use in one-side image formation, for transferring, to a printed sheet storage section via an image transcribing section, a sheet supplied from an unprinted sheet storage section; and a second sheet-transferring path, connected to the first sheet-transferring path, for supplying a tuned-over one-side printed sheet to the image transcribing section, the two-image forming apparatus being controlled so that a plurality of sheets are transferred concurrently in an overall sheet-transferring path when performing two-side image forming operation, the overall sheet-transferring path including the first sheet-transferring path and the second sheet-transferring path. With this arrangement, it is possible to attain a significant improvement in process efficiency.

Two-side image forming apparatus

A roller turning force generator is connected to a driving gear which is mounted on a shaft. The shaft is connected to offset roller assemblies disposed in an offset mechanism via connecting gears. The offset roller assemblies rotatably supported inside the offset mechanism are turned by a driving force transmitted from the roller turning force generator to discharge individual sheets of a printing medium in a sheet transport direction. The offset mechanism is linked to an offsetting force generator so that the offset mechanism can be shifted along a direction perpendicular to the sheet transport direction.
