A linear solenoid includes a collar, which limits relative movement between a first stationary core and a second stationary core. The first stationary core includes a bearing portion and a fixing portion, which are formed integrally as a single integral member. The bearing portion supports the shaft. The fixing portion is fixed to the yoke while the collar is clamped between the fixing portion and the second stationary core in the axial direction.

Linear solenoid

A housing is molded from a resin material, and a first flange portion of the bobbin forms a fusing protrusion, which is joined and fused with the housing. The housing includes through-holes, which are located on a radially inner side of the fusing protrusion and extends through a portion of the housing in the axial direction. A yoke includes at least one pressure reducing part, which is configured to reduce a pressure exerted to a projection of the bobbin by a flow of the resin material at a time of molding the housing.

One axial end of a through-hole of a bearing portion of a first stationary core located on a movable core side has a peripheral edge placed at a corresponding axial position. The corresponding axial position of the peripheral edge may be the same as an axial position of an axial end surface of a radially outer part of the first stationary core or is on an axial side of the axial end surface, which is axially opposite from the movable core. A bottom portion of a yoke may have a hole, which receives at least a part of a second stationary core. A stopper made of a resin material may be placed on a side of the bottom portion of the yoke, which is opposite from the second stationary core in the axial direction. A shaft may be abuttable against the stopper.

A stator is provided with a ring-shaped outer stator-projection and a ring-shaped inner stator-projection. A plunger is provided with a ring-shaped outer plunger-projection and a ring-shaped inner plunger-projection. A magnetic force is generated at three portions between the plunger and the stator. The inner stator-projection has a first tapered surface and the outer plunger-projection has a second tapered surface. The first tapered surface and the second tapered surface confront each other when the plunger moves toward the stator.

Electromagnetic actuator

A valve timing controller has a control valve and a linear solenoid. The control valve is disposed in an interlocking rotor constructed by a vane rotor and a camshaft. The linear solenoid includes a movable member having an output shaft, and a bearing portion supporting the movable member to reciprocate and rotate. A spool of the control valve is contact with the output shaft. The output shaft contacts a sphere-shaped end surface of the spool, at a contact position offset in a radial direction from a center axis of the spool.

Valve timing controller

A valve timing control apparatus includes a linear solenoid having a coil, a casing, a needle, a pair of cylindrical stators and a cylindrical spacer. The pair of cylindrical stators oppose with each other through an air gap in an axis direction. The pair of stators and the needle form a magnetic circuit so as to drive the needle to reciprocate. The cylindrical spacer fits with an outer circumference side of the pair of stators so as to restrict a short circuit from being generated in the magnetic circuit between the pair of stators. The spacer defines a discharge passage that connects the air gap to a discharge port of the casing.

Valve timing control apparatus

A plunger main body is fixed to a shaft to reciprocate together with the shaft in an axial direction within a predetermined range. An axial overlapped surface area between a rear stator main body and the plunger main body is reduced when the plunger main body is moved from a rear stator main body side toward a front stator main body side. A plunger projection radially outwardly projects from an outer peripheral wall of an end portion of the plunger main body, which is axially located on the rear stator main body side.

A linear solenoid includes a shaft to reciprocate in an axis direction, a movable member fixed to the shaft, a front stator, a rear stator, a coil, a front housing, and a rear housing. The front housing is made of metal, and covers the front stator and the coil in the axis direction. The rear housing is made of metal, and is connected to the front housing so as to define a space to accommodate the movable member, the front stator, the rear stator and the coil. The rear housing covers the rear stator and the coil in the axis direction.

A bobbin and a magnetic transmitting/receiving stator are positioned by fitting two positioning projections provided for a bobbin flange into two positioning holes formed in a stator flange. The positioning hole has a circular shape and the positioning projection has a flat oval shape which matches a diameter part of the circular shape so that a resin-passing gap is formed between the shapes. Since the resin-passing gap plays the role equivalent to the role of a resin passing hole, the total number of positioning holes and the resin passing holes can be reduced, and magnetic flux passing through the stator flange can be prevented from decreasing. Since a post-forming resin flows through the resin-passing gap in the positioning part, the flow of the post-forming resin can be made uniform in the whole periphery, and occurrence of poor molding can be restricted.

An electromagnetic valve device reduces wear of a moving member and a non-magnetic member sliding against the moving member and prevents contamination from contacting the sliding part. The moving member is directly and movably supported in a reciprocating manner by a non-magnetic cup. The moving member has a hard layer made of nickel containing PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) particles at the sliding part located against the cup. The hardness of the hard layer is high and is approximately the hardness of the stainless steel cup. Therefore, the wear of both the moving member and the cup can be reduced. The hard layer contains the PTFE particles, and therefore the sliding part between the moving member and the cup is lubricated by the PTFE, which reduces the sliding resistance at the sliding part and improves the responsiveness of the device.

Electromagnetic valve device and manufacturing method thereof

In a solenoid valve, a boss portion is formed integrally with an attracting portion of a stator core at an outer peripheral side of the attracting portion. The boss portion has a tapered outer peripheral surface and a tapered inner peripheral surface. A plunger has a communication passage, which extends through the plunger generally along a central axis of the plunger.

Solenoid valve with improved magnetic attractive force

A resin-made air cleaner includes a hollow resin-made housing, a tubular element accommodated in the housing, a tubular projection, a gasket fitted around the tubular projection, and disposed between the tubular element and the tubular projection, a stopper for inhibiting the gasket from moving. The tubular projection is disposed on at least one of opposite end surfaces of the housing so as to project toward the inside of the housing. The stopper is disposed on the projection and/or the opposite end surfaces of the housing, on which the projection is disposed. This arrangement not only enables the increase of the resin content of the air cleaner, but also inhibits the gasket from coming off from the projection when the element is disassembled.
