An apparatus for monitoring air leakage into a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine is provided. This system comprises a pressure sensor for detecting a pressure level in a fuel supply passage of the fuel supply system which communicates between a fuel tank and an intake passage of the engine and providing a signal indicative thereof, an air leakage control valve for leaking ambient air into the fuel supply passage at a preselected rate, and an air leakage monitoring unit for detecting a first pressure in the fuel supply system when the air leakage control valve is closed to restrict the leakage of the ambient air and a second pressure when the air leakage control valve is open to leak the ambient air into the fuel supply passage, the air leakage monitoring unit providing an alarm signal indicating that there is a preselected amount of air leakage in the fuel supply system based on a difference between the first and second pressures.

A door lock system for an automotive door, which includes a door lock driving device for mechanically locking or unlocking a door lock. The door lock can be, however, manually operated with a small force, because the door lock is operatively disconnected from an electric motor of the door lock driving device. The door lock driving device has a reversible electric motor, a sun gear fixed to an output shaft of the electric motor, a pair of swing levers rotatably supported by the output shaft, a planetary gear rotatably supported by the swing levers and engaged with the sun gear, and wave washers interposed between the swing levers and side surfaces of the planetary gear, so that when the electric motor is rotated, the planetary gear is rotated around the output shaft of the electric motor. The door lock driving device further includes a driven gear and a driven shaft which are operatively connected with each other by means of a torsion bar, so that a rotational force of the driven gear is transmitted to the driven shaft by twisting the torsion bar. When the planetary gear is brought into engagement with the drive gear, the rotational force of the electric motor is transmitted to the driven shaft through the sun gear, the planetary gear, the driven gear and the torsion bar. When the rotation of the electric motor is stopped, the driven gear is rotated in a reverse direction by the spring back action of the torsion bar, so that the planetary gear is brought out of engagement with the driven gear to operatively disconnect the driven shaft from the electric motor.

A diesel engine fuel control apparatus is disclosed wherein a control unit for controlling the amount of the supply of fuel by a key switch which selectively connects a start position terminal, a normal position terminal and an interruption position terminal to a power supply, includes a control lever position sensing switching means for controlling a fuel injection pump and switchover means which are connected to at least the start position terminal and the normal position terminal, respectively, to control the energization of an actuator of a pump control lever, and a normally closed switching means which is turned off when an exhaust brake is applied is connected between said normal position terminal and one of said switching means.

Diesel engine fuel control apparatus

A fuel control apparatus for a diesel engine is provided with a control lever which reciprocates between two positions under control of a motor shaft which rotates in one direction only. The control lever connects to a fuel control lever which is moved from a fuel shut-off position to a starting fuel increasing position and then to a normal fuel supply position in accordance with the movement of the control lever. Motor control is effected by relay control in accordance with the positions of a key switch, a pattern switch rotating angularly with the motor shaft, and a switch which determines whether the engine is rotating or at rest.

Fuel control apparatus for a diesel engine

A reversible electric motor is employed for driving a control lever of a governor for a diesel engine fuel injection pump, so that the control lever is electrically and automatically driven by the motor in association of turning of a key switch. In a control circuit for the motor, a closed circuit for an armature coil of the motor is formed when the motor is stopped for providing an electric brake for the motor to thereby quickly stop the same at given positions.
