An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a metal hydroxide fine particle, which can produce metal hydroxide fine particles with favorable crystallinity and small particle sizes. The present invention provides a method for producing a metal hydroxide fine particle by reacting a metal ion with a hydroxide ion in a solvent, which includes a mixing and reacting step of supplying the metal ion, the hydroxide ion, and a silane coupling agent to a reaction field to mix and react the ions.

Method for producing metal hydroxide fine particle

There is provided a production method in which highly transparent fine metal hydroxide particles having a small particle size and excellent in monodispersibility can be easily produced without requiring grinding. The method for producing fine metal hydroxide particles at least includes: a reaction step of mixing an aqueous solution of a metal salt, for example, a magnesium salt, with an aqueous solution of a hydroxide salt to precipitate metal hydroxide particles in an uncrystallized state; a purification step of removing by-product salt from a mixed solution containing the precipitated metal hydroxide particles in an uncrystallized state; a surface treatment step of treating the metal hydroxide particles in an uncrystallized state obtained through the purification step with a surface-treatment agent on the surface thereof; and a heating step of crystallizing the surface-treated metal hydroxide particles in an uncrystallized state by hydrothermal treatment.

Method for producing fine metal hydroxide particles

An object of the present invention is to provide a flame retardant resin composition including magnesium hydroxide particles and a cellulose resin and having excellent flame retardance, mechanical characteristics, and moldability. The flame retardant resin composition includes a thermoplastic resin including a cellulose resin and a flame retardant. The flame retardant includes, at 40% by weight to 60% by weight of the total flame retardant, a first type of magnesium hydroxide particles with a particle diameter of 10 nm to 50 nm, having a particulate surface modified by an epoxy silane coupling agent, and, at 60% by weight to 40% by weight of the total flame retardant, a second type of magnesium hydroxide particles with a particle diameter of 100 nm to 1,000 nm, having a particulate surface modified by an amino silane coupling agent.

A micro fluid device includes a heating unit and a cooling unit, each with piping disposed within. The heating and cooling units are integrally coupled together, and fluid flows into the piping of respective units. A temperature control device includes a heat insulator which has a through hole equal in diameter to the piping disposed within the heating unit and cooling unit. The heat insulator is interposed between heating unit and the cooling unit. A positioning mechanism positions the heat insulator to bring the piping into communication with the through hole at the time of coupling the heating and cooling units.
