A multilayer board includes a base including insulating layers stacked in a stacking direction, and a mounting surface at an end of the base in a first direction along the stacking direction, an electronic component inside the base, and a first heat dissipator extending through at least one of the insulating layers from a surface of the electronic component located at an end of the electronic component in the first direction to the mounting surface. When a section of the first heat dissipator is defined as a first section, and a section of the first heat dissipator located farther in a second direction along the layer stacking direction than the first section is defined as a second section, there is a combination of a first section and a second section in which the second section extends farther outward than the first section when viewed from the layer stacking direction.

Multilayer board and electronic device

Shielding cases each include a pair of opposed first surfaces with catching pieces protruding therefrom and a pair of second surfaces without catching pieces. A motherboard forms substrates each including a pair of opposed first side surfaces with catching grooves and a pair of second side surfaces without catching grooves when it is divided. The shielding cases are mounted on the motherboard such that the intervals A between the second surfaces of two adjacent shielding cases are equal to or less than the widths B of cutting allowances for cutting the motherboard. The motherboard is cut from the opposite side of a surface of the motherboard on which the shielding cases are mounted at predetermined positions where the second side surfaces are formed on each substrate. In this manner, the motherboard is divided into electronic components with shielding cases.

Electronic component with shielding case and method of manufacturing the same

A voltage-controlled oscillator has a structure that is very compact and prevents characteristic deterioration. The voltage-controlled oscillator includes a first resonant circuit resonating in a first frequency band, a second resonant circuit resonating in a second frequency band that is higher than the first frequency band, an oscillation circuit oscillating at a resonance frequency of each of the first and second resonant circuits, an amplifying circuit amplifying an oscillation signal transmitted from the oscillation circuit, a control terminal applying a control voltage to each of the first and second resonant circuits, a power-source terminal commonly connected to the oscillation circuit and the amplifying circuit, and an output terminal outputting a high frequency signal.

Voltage-controlled oscillator and communication apparatus incorporating the same

A frequency-switching oscillator has an oscillating circuit and a buffer circuit, wherein a matching circuit has a diode. The anode of the diode can be switched to be of a first potential and a second potential which is higher than the first potential. The cathode of the diode is set to a value of a third potential which is higher than the first potential by a certain level and is lower than the second potential by more than a switch voltage of the diode. Corresponding to switching of oscillation frequencies by a oscillating circuit, the frequency-switching oscillator allows frequencies matched in the buffer circuit to be switched and outputs frequencies of substantially the same levels for any of the oscillation frequencies.

Frequency-switching oscillator and communication apparatus using same

A voltage control oscillation circuit is provided on the respective layers of a ceramic multilayer substrate, and an unbalanced transmission line and a balanced transmission line are provided to sandwich a predetermined ceramic layer, whereby an unbalance-balance conversion circuit is defined due to the mutual induction coupling between the transmission lines.

Voltage controlled oscillator and communication device using same

An input change-over amplifier is capable of effecting a change-over in outputting two signals having different frequencies, without lowering the signal levels thereof. Two signals having different frequencies are fed into two input terminals of an amplifying element. When a signal is input through one input terminal, the other input terminal is grounded. When a signal is input through the other input terminal, the above one input terminal is grounded. In this way, it is possible to effect a change-over in outputting two signals having different frequencies, without lowering the signal levels thereof. Further, since two signals can be fed into an amplifying element through different paths, it is not necessary to provide a matching circuit at a connection point of signal paths. Therefore, the number of required electronic parts can be reduced, an oscillator which is compact in size can be manufactured, and a necessary circuit can be designed within only a short time.
