A plurality of solar cells are arranged in a first direction and each provided with first and second electrodes on a one main surface side thereof. A wiring member includes a conductive layer and a resin sheet supporting the conductive layer, the conductive layer electrically connecting the first electrode of one of the solar cells adjacent to each other in the first direction to the second electrode of another one of the solar cells. An adhesive layer bonds the wiring member to each of the solar cells. The wiring member includes a first bonded portion bonded to the one solar cell via the adhesive layer, a second bonded portion bonded to the other solar cell via the adhesive layer, and a connection portion connecting the first bonded portion and the second bonded portion together, and an opening is provided in the conductive layer in the connection portion.

A solar cell module production method involves applying an adhesive on a light-receiving surface and a rear surface of a solar cell having electrodes on the light-receiving surface and the rear surface, and positioning and attaching a wiring material on the adhesive. Specifically, the solar cell, which is positioned with the light-receiving surface facing upward, is inverted so that the rear surface is facing upward, and the adhesive is applied on the rear surface; and then the solar cell is inverted once again so that the light-receiving surface is facing upward, and the adhesive is applied to the light-receiving surface.

Disclosed is a solar cell that comprises a photoelectric conversion body, a first electrode including a first finger portion that is placed on one main surface of the photoelectric conversion body and extends in first direction, a second electrode including a second finger portion which is placed on the one main surface of the photoelectric conversion body to be adjacent to the first finger portion in second direction intersecting the first direction and extends in the first direction, a first insulating layer covering at least part of a tip end portion of the first finger portion, which tip end portion is located on first side in the first direction, and a second insulating layer covering at least part of a tip end portion of the second finger portion, which tip end portion is located on a second side in the first direction.

Second wiring member includes a first wiring-member piece electrically connected to one of the solar cells of one of the adjacent solar cell strings, and a second wiring-member piece electrically connecting the first wiring-member piece to another one of the solar cell strings. First wiring-member piece includes wiring electrically connecting the solar cell and the second wiring-member piece to each other, a first insulating layer covering part of a surface of the wiring on a solar-cell side, and a second insulating layer covering part of a surface of the wiring on a side opposite from the solar cell. First portion of the wiring is exposed from the first insulating layer. Second portion of the wiring is exposed from the second insulating layer. First portion of the wiring is electrically connected to the solar cell, and the second portion of the wiring is electrically connected to the second wiring-member piece.
