A plurality of modules are included by an electronic device, so as to be disposed adjacent to each other. Each of the modules includes a light emitting element configured to emit communication light toward an adjacent module disposed in one adjacent direction, and a light receiving element configured to receive communication light emitted by an adjacent module disposed in the other adjacent direction. Each of the modules disposed adjacent to each other is capable of emitting the communication light to the light receiving element of the adjacent module disposed in the one adjacent direction, and capable of receiving the communication light emitted by the light emitting element of the adjacent module disposed in the other adjacent direction.

Modules configured to emit and receive light in adjacent directions

A lock mechanism is provided for locking inside a casing a plurality of printed circuit boards which are connected through connectors to a backplane inside the casing. The lock mechanism has an engaging member provided with a plurality of engaging pieces respectively engageable with engaged portions formed respectively in the plurality of printed circuit boards. When the engaging pieces are respectively engaged with the engaged portions, the printed circuit boards are pressed in a direction to fit the connectors of the printed circuit boards with the connectors of the backplane.

Lock mechanism

A switch device includes a switch operation unit, two detection units which convert the amount of press of the switch operation unit into detection signals, determination units which determine the pressed state of the switch operation unit, monitoring units which monitor the determination states of the determination units, and output units, each of which outputs an ON signal when the determination unit determines that a full pressed state is maintained, and when, upon determination that a half pressed state is maintained, the detection signal is equal to or larger than an ON threshold and the monitoring result indicates a full pressed state, and outputs an OFF signal when the determination unit determines that a non-pressed state is maintained, and when, upon determination that a half pressed state is maintained, the detection signal is equal to or smaller than an OFF threshold and the monitoring result indicates a non-pressed state.

Switch device including dual on/off signal generation units, and numerical control system

A numerical controller includes: a monitor unit that monitors a water level; a backup unit that performs power supply when a main power source is turned off; and a cutoff circuit that cuts off the power supply, and when the water level monitored by the monitor unit detects a predetermined water level, the power source of the backup unit from an external power source means is cut off. Thus, the power supply is cut off before the flooding occurs in the numerical controller, which makes it possible to reduce the damage caused by electrolytic corrosion.

Numerical controller with submersion protection circuit

An I/O control system includes a numerical controller, amplifiers that drive motors, and an I/O control unit that is connected to a peripheral device. The I/O control unit includes an arithmetic processing unit that generates control information for control over the peripheral device from servo control information received through a communication interface and input data received from the peripheral device through an I/O interface and that outputs the generated control information to the peripheral device through the I/O interface.

A robot control system including a servo amplifier supplying power to a robot, a processor controlling the operation of the robot, and a servo power connection/cutoff circuit connected to the same, issuing excitation/nonexcitation commands to a charging relay and a main circuit connection electromagnetic contactor provided in the circuit from the processor, monitoring the opened/closed states of the contacts of the charging relay and main circuit connection electromagnetic contactor by the processor, and detecting if their contacts open and close as instructed by the processor to thereby check if the power connection/cutoff circuit has a fault. Due to this, it is possible to provide a robot control system which detects faults of the power connection/cutoff circuit and which is inexpensive and high in safety.

Robot control system

A robot control device includes an operation mode change-over switch for switching between a first operation mode for prohibiting an operator from approaching a predetermined area around a robot when power is supplied to a drive motor for driving the robot and a second operation mode for allowing the operator to approach the predetermined area around the robot even when power is supplied to the drive motor, and an electromagnetic contactor for switching the connection and disconnection of the power supply line to the drive motor. The robot can be stopped in case of emergency by using the electromagnetic contactor to disconnect the power supply line. The apparatus further includes an emergency stop control unit. The emergency stop control unit issues a disconnection command to the electromagnetic contactor, when the switching between the first and second operation modes is sensed, and automatically confirms whether or not the power supply line is disconnected.

Robot control device

In a case in which an operation is alternately carried out by apparatus-and the apparatus-in cooperation with a robot, an operator carries out operation within an operation range of each of the apparatuses during the interruption of power supply to the apparatus-and the apparatus-. Even if the operator approaches or enters the apparatus-or the apparatus-, an emergency stop unit is not informed of a notice of such approach or entry as far as the interruption of power to the apparatus is confirmed. In a state in which the interruption of power is not confirmed, on the other hand, the emergency stop unit is informed of the notice of operator's approach or entry, and the robot system is emergency stopped.

Robot system

When the emergency stop button on the teaching pendant is pressed, the packet generating circuitsandeach prepare packet data relating to emergency stopping, and transmit this data to the robot control part by wireless communications via the transmission data switching circuit. Besides data indicating the need or lack of need for emergency stopping, a header or the like designating the packet receiving circuit to which the transmission is addressed is added to the packet data. The respective packet receiving circuits of the robot control part receive the respective sets of packet data in accordance with the designations of the headers. When the emergency stop button is pressed, emergency stop signals are output to a plurality of emergency stop control circuits from the respective packet receiving circuits immediately afterward, and a plurality of contacts connected in series are placed in a non-conductive state, so that the supply of motive force to the servo amplifiers is cut off, thus causing the robot to make an emergency stop.

Robot controller

A control system includes a control section provided with a CPU (processor) for controlling a machine to be controlled, an operating section provided with an input/output card interface for enabling connection of an input/output card, and a communications circuit for performing communications between the control section and the operating section, the control section comprising a first serial communications interface connected to the CPU via a first communications control circuit, the operating section comprising a second serial communications interface connected to the input/output card interface via a second communications control circuit, and the communications circuit providing a connection between the first serial communications interface and the second serial communications interface.

Interactive data processing unit which is located at a distance from an FA control unit and capable of direct access to a memory in the FA control unit. When an access request to a memory (,) in a CNC (,) is issued by a device in an MMC (,), a remote access control means (,) outputs the access request to the CNC (,). Upon reception of the access request, an internal data input/output means (,) in the CNC (,) makes access to the requested address by performing a direct memory access (DMA) operation to the memory (,). It writes the data into the memory when the access request is a write-request. On the other hand, when the access request is a read-request, the internal data input/output means (,) outputs the data to the MMC (,). The remote access control means (,) in the MMC (,) receives the data and forwards it to the device which issued the access request. The MMC (,) thereby makes access directly to the memory (,) in the CNC (,).

Control system

In a robot controlling system including a robot unit having a robot arm and a servomotor into which the robot ann is incorporated, a servo amplifier unit to drive the servo motor, and a controlling unit to control the robot arm by sending commands to the servo amplifier unit, and transmit-receive means between the controlling unit and the robot unit is incorporated into transmit-receive means between the controlling unit and the servo amplifier unit as well as into trasmmit-receive means between the servo amplifier unit and the robot unit, transmission and reception between the controlling unit and the robot unit is conducted via the servo amplifier unit. A command to be sent from the controlling unit to the robot unit as well as communication on feedback signals and detection signals to be sent from the robot unit to the controlling unit is conducted via the servo amplifier unit, which as a result may serve to make it possible to omit cables connecting between the control unit and the robot unit, and to decrease in terms of kinds of length of cables and number of cables to be prepared to comply with placement conditions of the controlling unit, the servo amplifier unit, and the robot unit.
