A liquid discharging device includes: a recording head that has nozzles discharging liquid, and forms an image on a target surface with the liquid while performing scanning of the target surface for multiple times; a moving unit that moves the recording head in main-scanning direction while making the head discharge liquid, and moves the head in sub-scanning direction after the head has discharged liquid; a drive waveform applying unit that applies a drive waveform to the respective nozzles; a temperature detecting unit that detects temperature about the head; a correcting unit that corrects drive waveform based on detected temperature; and a control unit that, when temperature about the head changes from first temperature to second temperature, performs control in such a way that, during the multiple scans, use of second-type drive waveform corresponding to the second temperature gradually increases against use of first-type drive waveform corresponding to the first temperature.

Liquid discharging device and drive waveform control method

A position control method is disclosed that is capable of precisely and stably controlling a position of an object lens relative to a recording medium. When controlling the position of the object lens in the tracking direction, first, an attempt is made to read address information recorded on the recording medium, and if the address information is not readable, the polarity of the tracking error signal used for servo control is reversed. As a result, even for a recording medium of a low quality or a nonstandard recording medium, which are treated as invalid media in the related art, it is possible to locate the object lens to the target position.

The regulating signals are obtained in response to an access request specifying an access target region on the disk. The tracks of a disc are divided into a plurality of zones, each zone having associated signal regulation information. The recording pulse is a multi-pulse defined by a peak power, the erase power, and a bottom power; and the erase power, at a time when the multi-pulse is not being output, is used in the step of controlling the erase power.

An optical disk recording method comprising steps of a) performing recording onto the optical disk with a ZCLV method by using zone parameter storage means for storing at least one zone division time and CLV of each zone in a track formed on the optical disk, as zone parameters, for each of a plurality of recording modes and optical disk type determination means for determining the type of the optical disk before recording; b) performing optimization of the recording velocity by detecting, before recording, servo signal fluctuation by accessing the optical disk, by determining maximum recording velocity defined by the speed of a rotational motor rotating the optical disk, and by calculating a changing point of the recording velocity; and c) limiting the speed of the rotational motor, when the servo signal fluctuation at the surface of the optical disk exceeds a reference level and determining the relation between the zone division time and the CLV of each zone.
