A travel control apparatus to be applied to a vehicle includes a passability determination unit and a travel control unit. The passability determination unit performs a determination as to whether or not an obstacle located on a vehicle lane on which the vehicle travels is avoidable within the vehicle lane on which the vehicle is currently traveling. The travel control unit carries out a travel control to allow the vehicle to travel while avoiding the obstacle. On the condition that the passability determination unit determines that the obstacle is avoidable within the vehicle lane on which the vehicle is currently traveling, the travel control unit controls a travel speed of the vehicle to keep the vehicle, any one of surrounding vehicles, and the obstacle from becoming side by side when the vehicle passes by the obstacle.

Traveling control apparatus

A traveling control apparatus includes an obstacle detection unit, a detour determination unit, first and second on-road parking determination unit, first and second target lateral position determination units, and a traveling control processor. When an obstacle is highly likely or likely to be a second vehicle parked on the road, the first target lateral position determination unit determines a first target lateral position. When the obstacle is determined to be the second vehicle parked on the road, the second target lateral position determination unit determines a second target lateral position. When the obstacle is determined not to be the second vehicle parked on the road and there is a detour, the second target lateral position determination unit determines a third target lateral position. The traveling control processor controls a first vehicle based on a result of determining by the first or second target lateral position determination unit.

Provided is an anode material for a secondary battery which reduces and inhibits swelling of a high-capacity silicon-containing alloy material to realize excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics. The anode material includes alloy particles containing a transition metal which has electron conductivity, is difficult to react with lithium atoms and is at least one selected from the group of metals that belong to transition metals, and silicon, wherein the alloy particles include amorphous silicon, and silicide microcrystals formed by silicon and the transition metal, and the silicide microcrystals are scattered in amorphous silicon.

Alloy particles for negative electrode active material are proposed, which can impart anti-oxidation property to Si-containing alloy particles, and suppress oxidation of the negative electrode active material due to electrolyte at a considerably high level. A negative electrode material of secondary battery is achieved by a negative electrode material of secondary battery which is capable of intercalating and de-intercalating lithium and which consists of alloy particles including a silicon phase, a metal phase and bismuth, in which a crystallite size of the silicon phase is 10 nm or smaller, and the metal phase includes at least one kind of metal alloying with silicon but not with lithium, and the negative electrode material includes primary particles formed at least by the silicon and the metals.

Negative electrode material for secondary battery and secondary battery using the same

A negative electrode active material is provided, which can reduce and suppress ratio of expansion of silicon, provide enhanced conductivity, and realize superior charge/discharge cycle characteristic. The negative electrode material for secondary battery capable of occluding and releasing lithium consists of alloy particles having a silicon phase and a metal phase, and a carbonaceous material, in which crystallite size of the silicon phase is 10 nm or less, and the metal phase includes two or more kinds of metals alloying with silicon but not with lithium, and the carbonaceous material has crystallite size of 30 nm or more, and the carbonaceous material is present on the surface of, or within the alloy particles.
