A measurement method is provided for non-destructive inspection of a magnetic material as an inspection target in a non-magnetic body. The method includes application of a magnetic field from a magnetic field applying unit to the inspection target through a surface of the non-magnetic body, and measurement of a magnetic field from the inspection target with a magnetic sensor on the surface of the non-magnetic body adjacent to the magnetic field applying unit at positions having different distances from the magnetic field applying unit in a first direction away from the magnetic field applying unit. The magnetic field from the inspection target is attenuated with the distances. In the method, first and second measurements are performed with the magnetic field applying unit respectively arranged on one side and on the other side in the first direction relative to the positions where the magnetic sensor performs measurement.

An external airbag includes: a lower edge bag that is deployed to extend along a lower edge of a windshield of an automobile, on a front side of the windshield; lateral edge bags in a pair that are deployed to extend along both lateral edges of the windshield, on the front side of the windshield; and an upper edge bag that is deployed to extend along an upper edge of the windshield, on the front side of the windshield.

An airbag unit is provided that can be easily installed and removed. The airbag unit includes an airbag that covers, upon being unfolded, at least a part of a hood or a windshield outside a vehicle, a gas generator that ejects gas into the airbag, a cover bottom member that accommodates therein the airbag yet to be expanded and the gas generator, a cover lid member that covers the cover bottom member in which the airbag is accommodated, and a bracket removably supported by the body of the vehicle, and removably supporting the cover bottom member and the cover lid member.

Airbag unit

An airbag unit is provided that can be quickly unfolded, and also retrofitted to an existing vehicle body. The airbag unit includes an airbag that covers, upon being unfolded, at least a part of a hood or a windshield outside a vehicle, a gas generator that ejects gas into the airbag, a cover bottom member that accommodates therein the airbag yet to be expanded and the gas generator, a cover lid member including a cover lid plate that covers the cover bottom member in which the airbag is accommodated, and a cowl cover attached to the cover lid plate between the hood and the windshield.

An external airbag includes: lateral edge bags in a pair that are deployed to extend upward along respective front pillars from lower ends of the respective front pillars, in front of the respective front pillars, the respective front pillars being disposed on both widthwise sides of a windshield of an automobile; and a posture holding member that couples upper ends of the lateral edge bags in the pair to each other.

There is provided a vehicle bumper structure. The vehicle bumper structure includes a bumper face exposed outward from a vehicle at a front end of a vehicle body, and a load transmission member having a front end opposing a surface of the bumper face at a vehicle rear side and a rear end secured to a vehicle body structural member. The load transmission member has a groove in either of an upper portion and a lower portion thereof. The groove serves as a starting point for bending the load transmission member in response to a compressive load in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle.

A structure for connecting substrates to each other, which is capable of thinning an electronic device on which a plurality of circuit boards is mounted, saving a space of the electronic device, and detaching a circuit board from the electronic device. The circuit board unit includes a first substrate including, on a surface thereof, a first group of electrode terminals arranged in a matrix, a second substrate including, on a surface thereof, a second group of electrode terminals arranged in a matrix in alignment with the first group of electrode terminals, and an anisotropic electrical conductor sandwiched between the first and second substrates. The first and second substrates and the anisotropic electrical conductor are pressurized by means of a pressurizer to electrically connect the electrode terminals to each other through the anisotropic electrical conductor.

Circuit board device and method for board-to-board connection

A circuit board device comprises a first wiring board () having plural first electrode terminals () for connection row-arranged on a surface layer, a second wiring board () having plural second electrode terminals () for connection row-arranged on a surface layer, and an anisotropic conductive member () disposed therebetween to the electrode terminals (). A local portion of each of the wiring boards () has a step difference to divide and dispose the electrode terminals (). A local portion of the anisotropic conductive member () corresponding to the step difference has a step shape that is capable of contacting with the step difference. A laminate comprising respective wiring boards () and the anisotropic conductive member disposed therebetween is pressed and held in a lamination direction.
