An electric reel is furnished with an information communication unit is adapted for transmitting first information concerning the reel to an external fishing information display device. The information communication unit is adapted for receiving second information concerning fishing from a fish finder or a GPS through a fishing information display device and an information coordinating unit. A second display unit of the fishing information display device can display the first information concerning the reel obtained from the reel and the second information concerning fishing with one of the first and second information being superimposed on the other. In this fishing reel, a large amount of information can be displayed while the size of the reel is kept small. Also, information concerning fishing can be obtained quickly.

Fishing reel, fishing information display device, and fishing information display system

A rotor of a spinning reel includes a rotor unit, and a fishing line guide portion. The rotor unit has a body portion that is rotatably mounted on the reel unit, and first and second rotor arms that each extend forward from opposing positions on the outer peripheral surface of the body portion. The fishing line guide portion is mounted only on the first rotor arm. Rotor for a spinning reel

Spinning-reel spool, which reciprocates back-and-forth with respect to reel unit, is furnished with bobbin trunk, inner barrel member, front flange, and skirt. Bobbin trunk, outer-circumferentially onto which fishing line is wound, is formed from sheet metal. Inner barrel member is installed on the inner circumferential side of bobbin trunk. Inner barrel member has a male-threaded portion on its rear end. Front flange is provided on bobbin trunk, and is coupled to inner barrel member via the male-threaded portion. Skirt is provided on the rear end of bobbin trunk. Skirt has a larger diameter than that of bobbin trunk.

A spool has drag mechanism disposed on the rear, spool body, cover member, first sealing member, and second sealing member. The spool body has tubular bobbin trunk portion, and front/rear flange portions provided on the front/rear of the bobbin trunk portion. The drag mechanism includes: drag-handling unit that screws onto the fore end of the spool shaft; and friction unit disposed so as to contact the rear face of the rear flange. The rearward movement of the first friction unit is restricted by spool shaft. Cover member is installed on spool body to cover first friction unit from rear. First sealing member is fitted in between cover member and rear flange portion. Second sealing member is fitted in between spool shaft and cover member. Spool can control fluctuations in drag force due to liquids that seep into drag mechanism.
