A printing control apparatus having a semiconductor storage device of a reduced capacity allows an inexpensive printer to provide large-sized, high-resolution and high-quality printout. The apparatus comprises a band buffer and a page buffer. The band buffer formed in a semiconductor storage device develops therein part of print bit image data. The page memory formed in an external storage device stores one page of print bit image data. With incoming print bit image data developed in the band buffer, the developed print bit image data are transferred from the band buffer to the page memory for printout.

Printing control apparatus

A print control apparatus for use with a printer for forming a print output based on command data generated by a computer. The print control apparatus includes a line segment data conversion unit for converting computer-generated command data to successive pieces of line segment data each having a position and a length in a raster direction, and a raster image data conversion unit for converting the line segment data to raster image data based on which printing is performed by the printer.

Print control apparatus

In an image forming device using a laser beam having light components of three wavelengths, a pair of photosensor units are provided at a point adjacent the start of the scan line to calibrate or adjust the focus of the component wavelengths at the same impact point prior to printing. Each of the two photosensor units has three phototransistors, one phototransistor sensitive to each wavelength. The first photosensor unit detects the laser beam components and sends a detection pulse that synchronizes the control circuits for each of the three component wavelengths and initiates a time delay in each circuit. The second photosensor is connected to a time delay circuit for each of the component wavelengths and is also connected to a LED associated with each component wavelength to indicate its strike on the appropriate phototransistor. When a pulse of each component wavelength, appropriately time delayed corresponding to a data position is emitted, the second sensor indicates proper positioning of the impact point by lighting the associated LED. Where the impact point of one or more of the component wavelength pulse does not strike the second sensor, the operator can focus the impact point using volume variable resistor, correct focus being indicated by a lighted LED, to obtain a focused impact point thereby establishing accurate timing delays for each component wavelength.

An image forming apparatus for irradiating an image light on a photosensitive recording medium having at least one photosensitive wavelength range on the basis of an image information to thereby form an image on the photosensitive recording medium, comprising a semiconductor laser for emitting an image light or a thermal cathode for emitting thermoelectrons having the image information, a photomultiplier or microchannel plate for converting the image light or the thermoelectrons into secondary electrons while the image forming information is kept, and multiplying the secondary electrons, and a fluorescent screen for converting the multiplied secondary electrons into an intensified image light. The intensified image light may be supplied on a photosensitive recording medium while the image forming information is kept, thereby forming an image on the photosensitive recording medium.

Color image forming apparatus having image intensifier unit

In an image forming device using a laser beam having light components of three wavelengths, a separate memory is provided for storing image data for each of the three light components. A reading controller for each of the light components reads the image data for that light component stored in the memory in accordance with a clock circuit. Each clock circuit has a clock frequency that is set variously according to the wavelength of the light component to correct chromatic distortion (chromatism) in the optics. As such, each color frquency is set to be in proportion to an image width resulting from a scan line for each wavelength of light in order to maintain coincidence between colors at the start of the scan line and at the end of the scan line. Therefore, the head position of each color image in the data sending period is matched by an appropriate delay time for the color light from the detection signal of a photosensor and the image width is corrected by the variation in the frequency of the sending clock of each wavelength.

An image exposure apparatus exposes a photosensitive recording medium to an image corresponding to an image displayed on the screen of a cathode-ray tube which is used as a light source. A video image detector substantially detects whether there is a video image supplied to the cathode-ray tube or not. A microprocessor starts an exposure in response to an exposure command given by an exposure command switch only when it is detected by the video image detector that there is a video signal.

Image exposure apparatus using CRT as exposure light source

An image forming apparatus has a cathode ray tube as a light source which is controlled by a control circuit including an image signal inverting circuit for inverting a polarity of an image signal and a vertical deflecting circuit for inverting an image formed on the cathode ray tube in a mirror image relationship on the basis of the vertical synchronizing signal. Thus, the image forming apparatus can provide two kinds of color images obtained by using a microcapsule sheet or a silver chloride sheet.

Preferably, the ultrasonic wave generating means is formed as a single resonance system and has parallel surfaces opposite to each other, each of the opposite surfaces having a vibration mode so that the opposite surfaces are displaced in the directions opposite to each other and substantially along a vertical axis of the opposite surfaces.
