A vehicle state monitoring device includes a storage device configured to store information relating to a vehicle traveling under power from an engine; a determining device configured to determine a state of the vehicle using the information stored in the storage device; and a storage control device. The storage control device is configured to, each time the vehicle travels a predetermined distance, store a frequency relation as the information in the storage device. The frequency relation is a relation between revolutions of the engine, a fuel-related parameter that is a load factor or a fuel injection rate of the engine, and a running frequency of the engine at the revolutions and the fuel-related parameter while the vehicle travels the predetermined distance.

Vehicle state monitoring device

A degradation determination device for a secondary battery is used for a hybrid vehicle, and configured to determine degradation of the secondary battery. The hybrid vehicle includes an engine configured to output power, a motor configured to output power, the secondary battery configured to supply electric power to the motor, and a control device configured to execute travel control in which the engine and the motor are controlled. The degradation determination device includes a controller. The controller is configured to determine degradation of the secondary battery based on data of a third parameter in a predetermined period. The third parameter is the difference between a first parameter based on the accelerator operation amount and a second parameter based on a fuel injection amount.

An apparatus for diagnosing remaining belt life is configured to diagnose the remaining life of a belt driven by an engine. The remaining life of the belt is diagnosed based on frequency distribution of an operation point that is made up of speed of the engine and a load factor of the engine or a fuel injection rate. This makes it possible to achieve accurate diagnosis of the remaining life of the belt.

A deterioration evaluation apparatus for a secondary battery, which evaluates a degree of deterioration of the secondary battery of a hybrid vehicle including an engine that outputs a driving power, a motor that outputs a driving power, and the secondary battery configured to exchange an electric power with the motor, includes one or more processors configured to evaluate the degree of deterioration of the secondary battery based on a first relationship. The first relationship is set by using an accelerator operation amount and an operation point. The operation point includes a rotation speed of the engine and a load factor of the engine. Deterioration evaluation apparatus and deterioration evaluation method for secondary battery

Provided is a vehicle diagnostic device that diagnoses at least one vehicle on which an engine is mounted, in which the vehicle includes a moisture sensitive sensor disposed in an engine compartment and configured to detect moisture, and the vehicle diagnostic device is configured to diagnose that there is a possibility of the vehicle being exposed to dust in a case where an intake pressure of the engine is higher than a predetermined value and the moisture is detected by the moisture sensitive sensor. Therefore, a possibility of the vehicle being exposed to dust can be diagnosed before the vehicle fails.

A specific sound having a higher frequency than an operation sound of an engine is generated in synchronization with timing of a top dead center of a specific cylinder of the engine. Thus, timing of a noise of the engine is estimated by using, for example, a deviation in time between timing of generation of a specific sound and timing at which a noise occurs in the engine, based on a sound collected from around the engine without directly using a signal of a crank angle of the engine.

The cover member includes a moisture outlet that releases, into the atmospheric air, moisture present inside the cover member. The water-absorption member extends to the moisture outlet from the pool portion.

Acoustic insulation structure for power train

An improvement of a valve timing control apparatus for an engine is disclosed. The apparatus has an intake valve and an exhaust valve which are alternately opened and closed in a valve timing sequence according to a rotation of a cam shaft. A timing pulley mounted on the cam shaft has a housing accommodating a plunger movable therein and a sleeve secured to the cam shaft. The housing has a first and second pressure chambers defined by the plunger and sealed with respect to each other. The plunger is arranged to move in an axial direction to selectively advance and retard the cam shaft based on differential pressure between the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber. A controller controls an electromagnetic valve with a specific control value to adjust the fluid pressure to be supplied to the first and second pressure chambers to maintain the valve timing sequence converged to a target valve timing. The controller corrects the specific value based on a rotational speed of the engine when the plunger is in one of the extreme positions in the chambers, and adjusts the fluid pressures based on the corrected specific value.
