A saddle riding vehicle includes a storage box and an anti-theft system. The storage box is openable in a vehicle horizontal direction. The anti-theft system is configured to measure position information on the vehicle and to send the position information via radio, the anti-theft system being attached to an undersurface of a ceiling of the storage box. Preferably, the anti-theft system is rotatably attached to the undersurface of the ceiling of the storage box by a hinge and the anti-theft system is attached to the tray member.

A wiring structure of a rear combination light of a vehicle includes a light-side wire, a vehicle-body-side wire holding portion, a stay, a light-side wire holding portion and a wire coupler. The vehicle-body-side wire holding portion is mounted on a rear surface of the vehicle body to hold an intermediate portion of a vehicle-body-side wire. The light-side wire holding portion is mounted on the stay to hold an intermediate portion of the light-side wire on a distal end portion of the stay. The wire coupler is arranged between the rear surface of the vehicle body and a back surface of the rear combination light. The light-side wire is connected to the vehicle-body-side wire via the wire coupler in a state where the rear combination light is mounted on the rear portion of the vehicle body.

A saddle-type vehicle, such as a motorcycle, equipped with an airbag module and an airbag control unit wherein the motorcycle is not increased in width. The motorcycle includes a body frame extending rearwardly from a head pipe with a rider's seat provided on the body frame and on which a rider or riders are to be seated. The airbag module is provided on the body frame and in which an airbag is accommodated. The airbag control unit is provided for controlling the deployment of the airbag. The airbag module is disposed on the front side of the rider seat with the airbag control unit being disposed between the head pipe and the airbag module.

A fuel injection control device includes a basic-injection-use map for deriving a basic injection amount and an additional-injection-use map for deriving an additional injection amount, each corresponding to the throttle opening. During operation of the engine, in each engine cycle, a first calculation stage for calculating the basic injection amount, and a second calculation stage provided after the first calculation stage are set. A first injection amount and a second injection amount obtained by applying the throttle opening measured in the first calculation stage and the second calculation stage, respectively, are compared. When the second injection amount is greater than the first injection amount, an additional injection amount is calculated by subtracting the first injection amount from the second injection amount; and when the first injection amount is greater than the second injection amount, the basic injection amount calculated in the first calculation stage is corrected.

Fuel injection control device and method for continuously controlling fuel injection during engine operation based on throttle position

A method and a system for detecting a crank angle of an engine includes detecting a non-toothed portion of a crank pulse rotor during a inlet valve open period for preventing falsely recognizing compression top dead center as a position of the non-toothed portion. A crank angle sensor is arranged at a position facing an outer circumference of a crank pulse rotor including a non-toothed portion thereof. An interval calculating unit measures crank pulse time intervals between adjacent teeth based on a sensing signal received from the crank angle sensor. The measured successive crank pulse time intervals are compared for detection of the non-toothed portion. A ratio calculating unit calculates a ratio of crank pulse intervals. A maximum ratio detecting unit determines presence of the non-toothed portion when the calculated ratio of crank pulse interval is the maximum in the cycle of the engine.

Method and system for detecting a crank angle of an engine

An engine ignition control apparatus includes a standard ignition map for use in retarding ignition timing when a throttle opening is within a predetermined range, and when an engine speed is within a predetermined region; and an acceleration-time advance angle correction quantity map for performing advance angle correction when the engine speed is within the predetermined region; an engine accelerometer for detecting a rate of change of the engine rotary speed; and an acceleration-time advance angle correction quantity setting unit for correcting an advance angle of the ignition timing. When the engine speed is within the predetermined range, and the rate of change of engine rotary speed is greater than or equal a predetermined rate, the acceleration-time advance angle correction quantity setting unit performs attenuation processing for deriving an advance angle correction quantity; and increases an attenuation quantity of the advance angle quantity for every ignition.
