A keyboard input apparatus, where a plurality of main keys are pressed for character inputting operation. Five keys are set individually as character keys for inputting characters &ldquo;A&rdquo;, &ldquo;I&rdquo;, &ldquo;U&rdquo;, &ldquo;E&rdquo;, and &ldquo;O&rdquo; of the Alphabet expressing vowels. Further provided are key input detectors to detect the number of key pressing operations of each of the main keys, and a key input processor for outputting the character keys corresponding to the number of key pressing operations. Setting of in the Japanese and English language frequently used vowels on independent keys enables inputting of vowels by only a single key pressing operation and when compared with a conventional art where a plurality of key pressing operations are required, the number of key pressing operations can be reduced at the time of inputting vowels, whereby manipulation of the apparatus and the inputting speed can be improved.

Keypad

A screen display key input unit. A screen display has a series of keys which can be operated by touching with a pen, a mouse or the like. Each of the keys are defined with first and second graphic character codes. A key input device points out a key display area on the screen while a selection processor selects one of the two graphic character codes on the key by determining the difference of key selection operations of the key input. The two graphic character codes are defined on each of the keys so that the number of keys shown on the screen is reduced as compared to conventional unit where each key is defined with a single graphic character code.

Keyboard-type input apparatus

In a packaging structure, a tongue-like portion is formed in one end portion of a base to extend toward an end of the one end portion. A wristwatch, having a pair of watchbands with a band keeper being provided on one of the bands, is placed on the base, and the tongue-like portion is inserted into an opening of the band keeper through a gap of the band keeper and the corresponding watchband. A pillow portion is formed in the one end portion of the base at a region which is nearer to the end of the one end portion than the tongue-like portion. The pillow portion covers the tongue-like portion, and an extending end of the one of the watchbands lays on the pillow portion in a longitudinal direction of the base.

Packaging structure

Shock absorbing members are attached to an outer rim of a back surface of a wristwatch case body at 6- and 12-o'clock portions thereof, and they extend outward and curve downward. Each of the shock absorbing members has rising portions extending from its both side ends and which are freely swingably attached to the wristwatch case body to a circumferential surface of the wristwatch case body. In addition, a part of a front surface and the circumferential surface of the wristwatch case body are covered by a first cover member made of soft synthetic resin, and the first cover is partly covered by a metal-made second cover member. When shock is applied to the front and circumferential surfaces of the wristwatch case body, the shock is reduced or absorbed by the rising portions of the shock absorbing members. When shock is applied to the back surface of the case body, the shock is reduced or absorbed by the shock absorbing member.
