An information notification system notifies a user of a vehicle of information. A first condition is that one or more time-designated speed limit signs recognized by a camera mounted on the vehicle designate all times of day as a whole. The information notification system determines whether or not the first condition is satisfied. When the first condition is not satisfied, the information notification system notifies the user of at least a legal speed limit on a road on which the one or more time-designated speed limit signs are installed, based on reference information on the legal speed limit in a region in which the vehicle is used.

A driver assistance method that is applied to a vehicle includes: reading a speed limit at a position at which the vehicle is traveling, from map information in which the speed limit is registered; displaying the speed limit read from the map information on a display device; and disabling updating of the speed limit to be displayed on the display device based on the map information in a first section in which a temporary speed limit is set, even when the speed limit registered in the map information changes.

The hands-off determination unit is configured to take over, when the control mode is switched under a state in which the measurement of the no-operation state continuation period has been started, a value of the no-operation state continuation period that has been measured until the switching of the control mode, thereby continuing the measurement of the no-operation state continuation period.
