A printing apparatus includes a body portion and a carriage configured to move in a first direction along a first axis and in a second direction along a second axis orthogonal to the first axis. The carriage is mounted with a head configured to eject ink toward a medium and an irradiation unit configured to irradiate the medium with ultraviolet rays arranged side by side in the first direction. The irradiation unit includes a first contact portion and is supported movably in the second direction relative to the head. Movement of the carriage in the second direction brings the first contact portion and a second contact portion provided at the body portion into contact with each other. The irradiation unit moves in the second direction relative to the head as the carriage moves while the first contact portion and the second contact portion are in contact with each other.

Printing apparatus

A printing device includes a carriage configured to move in a first direction along a first axis; a head configured to eject ink onto a medium; and an irradiation section that is provided alongside the head in the first direction and that is configured to irradiate ultraviolet light toward the medium, wherein the irradiation section has a cooling unit that cools the irradiation section by airflow, in a plan view facing the medium, the head is disposed in a first region of the carriage and the irradiation section is disposed in a second region of the carriage, and in the second region, at least one lid section is provided to block an airflow from a side in which the carriage faces the medium to the irradiation section.

A transport apparatus includes a driving roller that transports a medium in a transport direction, a driven roller that presses the medium against the driving roller when the medium is transported, a changer that changes a pressing force by which the driven roller presses the medium against the driving roller, and a feeder configured to feed the medium toward the driving roller and pull back the medium in a direction opposite to the transport direction. Before the driving roller transports the medium, the feeder pulls back the medium after the changer has changed the pressing force to a value that is smaller than the value of the pressing force set for transport of the medium.

A printing apparatus includes a printing portion for printing on a medium, a driving roller for transporting the medium, a first and a second driven roller which are respectively supported with a gap in one roller shaft in a shaft line direction of the roller shaft and rotate around the roller shaft while pressing the transported medium on the driving roller, and a shaft support member that has a shaft support portion which supports the roller shaft between the first driven roller and the second driven roller. The first and the second driven roller have a through hole into which the roller shaft is inserted and an inner diameter in a roller center portion is smaller than an inner diameter of a roller end portion in the shaft line direction. The roller shaft is supported so as to be swingable with the shaft support portion as a support point.

There is provided a recording apparatus including a support stage which supports a recording medium, a recording processing section which includes a recording unit for performing recording on the supported recording medium and is bridged so as to cross over the support stage in an X-axis direction, a Y-axis moving section which moves the recording processing section in a Y-axis direction with respect to the support stage, and a collision detection section which detects collision between a foreign matter and the recording processing section, in which the recording processing section includes projecting sections projecting in the X-axis direction with respect to the support stage, and side collision detection sections are respectively arranged on front and rear sides of the respective projecting sections.

Recording apparatus

There is provided a recording apparatus including a support stage which support a recording medium, a recording processing section which includes a recording unit for performing recording on the supported recording medium and is bridged so as to cross over the support stage in an X-axis direction, a Y-axis moving section which moves the recording processing section in a Y-axis direction with respect to the support stage, a rear bumper section which is arranged on the rear side of the recording processing section in the Y-axis direction and absorbs impact from collision with a foreign matter, and a first detection section which detects whether or not a distance between the recording medium A and the recording unit is less than a predetermined value, in which at least a part of the first detection section is arranged inside the rear bumper section.
