An endoscope includes: a hardness adjustment cable that is arranged in an insertion portion and includes a hardness adjustment sheath, a hardness adjustment wire inserted in the hardness adjustment sheath, and a coupling tool coupling the hardness adjustment sheath and the hardness adjustment wire; a retaining member fixed to the hardness adjustment wire on an operation unit side of the hardness adjustment cable; a cam mechanism that is coupled to the retaining member when tension is applied to the hardness adjustment wire; a sheath fixing unit coupled to the hardness adjustment sheath on the operation unit side of the hardness adjustment cable; and a guide frame that is arranged between the insertion portion and an operation unit and that holds the cam mechanism and the sheath fixing unit so as to be independently movable in a longitudinal direction of the insertion portion.

An example endoscope cap, attachable to and detachable from an endoscope including a lever pivotally provided at a distal end of an insertion part of an endoscope and a pivot part causing the lever to pivot, includes: a bottomed cylindrical cover that has an opening end and is capable of attaching and detaching the opening end to and from the distal end of the insertion part of the endoscope; a first engagement part located at an inner surface of a cylindrical part of the cover; an elevator that has a lever connection part connected to the lever and that is pivotally fixed to an inside of the cover; and a flexible part provided at the cylindrical part of the cover and more flexible by an external force compared to another part along a circumferential direction of the cylindrical part.

Endoscope cap, endoscope and method of detaching endoscope cap

To provide an endoscope cap with a raising base or the like which is easily attached and detached to and from a distal end of an endoscope. The endoscope cap includes: a cover that is attachable and detachable to and from a distal end of an insertion portion of an endoscope including a lever which is rotatably provided at the distal end of the insertion portion of the endoscope and a rotating portion which rotates the lever; and a raising base that has a lever connection portion connected to the lever and is rotatably provided inside the cover, and the endoscope cap is supplied in the state of being enclosed in an individual packaging member.

To provide an elevator or the like that facilitates cleaning of an endoscope by dismounting the endoscope after endoscopic examination. An elevator () which is capable of being attached to and detached from an endoscope () that includes a lever () provided rotatably at a distal tip of an insertion portion, and a rotating portion () that rotates the lever (), includes a first elevation portion () that has a recessed portion () on one surface, a second elevation portion () that protrudes from an end of the first elevation portion (), and a lever connection portion () that is provided at an end portion of the second elevation portion () and connected to the lever (). The elevator () is formed of a material having a tensile yield stress of 40 megapascals or more.

An example endoscope cap attachable to and detachable from an endoscope including a lever pivotally provided at a distal end of an insertion part of an endoscope and a pivot part causing the lever to pivot, includes: a bottomed cylindrical cover having an opening end which is attachable to and detachable from a distal end of an insertion part of the endoscope; a first engagement part provided at an inner surface of a cylindrical part of the cover; and an elevator having a lever connection part connected to the lever and pivotally fixed to an inside of the cover.

Endoscope cap

In a rigid distal end portion of an ultrasonic endoscope, a side-viewing optical observation portion and a wave transmission/reception face of an ultrasonic probe are provided on respective sides, in the width direction, of a boundary side wall of a pair of side walls constituting a laterally open recess. The wave transmission/reception face is arranged in a range in which at least a part of the wave transmission/reception face overlaps the boundary side wall, while being offset from an elevator in the longitudinal direction of an insertion portion. When the rigid distal end portion is viewed in an observation direction of the optical observation portion, a top portion of the elevator is located on a line connecting a center of the outer shape of the wave transmission/reception face of the ultrasonic probe, and a center, in the width direction, of the distal end connecting portion of a treatment tool conduit.

Ultrasonic endoscope

An endoscope, provided with a raising base, is provided, which can securely lock a guidewire using the raising base. In the raising base, which is provided with a treatment-tool support groove and a pair of raising-base side walls on the left and right sides thereof, a inner-to-outer communicably-connected groove which communicably connects the inner side of the treatment-tool support groove-with the outer side thereof is formed in at least one of the pair of raising-base side walls; and when the raising base is positioned at the raised position, the guidewire externally projects through the inner-to-outer communicably-connected groove from the treatment-tool support groove to lock-engage with the raising base.

Endoscope provided with raising base

An endoscope includes a raising base rotatably installed in an insertion portion of the endoscope, a recess formed in the insertion portion, a flexible control wire which is movable along an axis thereof relative to said insertion portion, a link member provided in the recess and connecting one end of the control wire to the raising base, and a cover which is detachably attached to the insertion portion to close the recess. The link member includes a rotational shaft which is coaxial with a of rotational axis of the raising base, the rotational shaft provided in the recess to be irrotatable relative to the raising base and detachably connected to the raising base; and a connecting portion detachably and irrotatably connected to the rotational shaft in the recess, the one end of the control wire being connected to the connecting portion at a position offset from the rotational shaft.
