A high-pressure pump has an elastic member arranged in a damper chamber between a first diaphragm and a second diaphragm. The elastic member is always in contact with both diaphragms while the high-pressure pump is operated. When the diaphragms are further vibrated due to a resonance under a situation where a frequency of the pressure pulsation of low-pressure fuel is in agreement with the characteristic frequency of the diaphragms, the elastic member restricts the deformation of the diaphragms. Therefore, the resonance of the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm can be restricted.

Pulsation damper

A coil is located radially outside of a pipe. An inner connector is located radially inside of the pipe. A moving core is located radially inside of the pipe and opposed to the inner connector. A housing surrounds both an outer circumferential periphery of the coil and one axial end of the coil. A cover surrounds an other axial end of the coil. An outer connector leads fuel into the pipe. The pipe and the cover are integrally formed and one single component as a with-cover pipe member. The inner connector and the outer connector are integrally formed and an other single component as a connector member. The connector member is partially inserted in the axial direction radially inside the pipe of the with-cover pipe member.

Fuel injection valve

In a mounting structure for mounting an injector to an internal combustion engine, a fixing member is inserted into a hole of a cylinder head in an axial direction. Thus, the injector is fixed between the fixing member and the cylinder head. A connector portion of the fixing member is inserted into the hole of the cylinder head together with the fixing member. Therefore, the connector portion of the fixing member can be easily connected with a connector portion of the injector even if the hole of the cylinder head is deep. A first socket provided on an end of the connector portion of the fixing member opposite from the injector is disposed outside the cylinder head. Therefore, the injector can be easily connected with a power source.

Structure and fixing member for mounting fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve comprises a body, a valve member, a coil, a movable core, a fixed core, and a housing member. The body has a nozzle hole. The valve member allows injection of fuel from the nozzle hole. The coil generates a magnetic field. The movable core axially reciprocates with the valve member. The fixed core is provided adjacent to a side of the movable core that is opposite the nozzle hole. The fixed core attracts the movable core and moves with the valve member due to the magnetic field generated from the coil. The housing member has a first axial end fixed to the body. The housing member covers the coil and forms a magnetic circuit together with the body, the movable core, and the fixed core due to the magnetic field generated by the coil.

A fuel passage is formed through a movable core and a fixed core of a fuel injection valve. Communication passage(s) are formed in the movable core or the fixed core around the fuel passage. The communication passage(s) connect a facing space provided between the movable core and the fixed core with a space remote from the facing space. Fuel flows out of the facing space through the communication passage(s) when the fuel injection valve is opened and fuel flows into the facing space through the communication passage(s) when the fuel injection valve is closed.

A fuel transfer pipe and a cylinder head of an engine in which a fuel injection device is restricted from being separated from each other by a restricting member. A pressing member is interposed between the fuel transfer pipe and the cylinder head to receive a restricting force of the restricting member presses the fuel transfer pipe to a side opposing the cylinder head and presses the fuel injection device to a side of the cylinder head by a reaction force against the restricting force.
