Each user terminal apparatus is connected with a service business enterprise system by a connection business enterprise system in a state that a live image can mutually be transmitted through the service business enterprise system. A communication service method wherein a user ID is registered at server. Video data from the user's terminal is transmitted to the server. The user selects the setting of whether image data is used with that video data; and the user's selected setting is stored at the server with the user ID. When the stored setting indicates that image data is used, the video data and the image data are transmitted from the server to one or more other terminals.

Disclosed herein is a television apparatus including: a thin display device; a mount section to be placed in a site; a support mechanism projecting upwardly from the mount section and supporting the display device in an upper portion spaced from the mount section in a manner to allow the display device to change an attitude thereof; a first speaker mounted on the display device; a second speaker mounted on the mount section; a signal supply section configured to supply a first audio signal to the first speaker and to supply a second audio signal to the second speaker; and a signal processor configured to adjust the time difference between the timing of the first audio signal output from the signal supply section and the timing of the second audio signal output from the signal supply section.

Television apparatus

Disclosed herein is a television unit including a thin platelike display unit, a stand for rotatably supporting the display unit, and a speaker. The stand has a mounting portion adapted to be mounted at a suitable position and a swiveling portion rotatably connected to the mounting portion for supporting the display unit. The present invention provides an easy-handling and highly-convenient communication system having sufficient adaptability even when a user does not want to transmit a live picture. When connections are established between a plurality of users via an access provider system, a server apparatus receives the live pictures from each user, determines data to be transmitted to each user by referring to the user database, reads out contents of the image database as required, and transmits to each user selectively the live picture or the read-out image data.
