A terminal including a main body part retained by a connector main body and a contact part connected to the upper end of the main body part and the free end of which can be connected to a counterpart terminal of a counterpart connector. The contact part including a connector base connected to the upper end of the main body part, a spring arm connected to the tip of the connector base and bent in a substantially s-shape, and a contact flexure part formed near the free end of the spring arm. The connector main body including a pair of side wall parts that extend in the longitudinal direction thereof and that retain the main body part. The connector base including an outward expanding part that bulges outward from the upper end of the main body part toward the connector main body and straddling the side wall parts without making contact with the side wall parts.

Connector and connector assembly

Problem: To realize a connection with a counterpart connector with high spacing efficiency, and to stably maintain an electrically connected state while having a compact and low profile and without the terminal being deformed or damaged, even when subjected to a force from a counterpart terminal when mated with the counterpart terminal, which increases reliability. Solution: The terminal includes a substrate fixing partfixed to a substrate, a pair of contact parts which sandwich a counterpart terminal, and an elastic deformation part having both ends connected to the substrate fixing partand the contact parts, respectively, wherein a spring constant of the elastic deformation part is smaller than a spring constant of the contact parts.

Highly reliable terminal and connector with a compact low profile

A connector is provided that includes a housing and a terminal installed in the housing. The housing includes a receiving space in which the upper face receiving a counterpart connector is opened, a pair of side wall parts defining at least a portion of both the left and right sides of the receiving space, a front wall part defining at least a portion of the front of the receiving space, and a pair of rear wall parts defining at least a portion of the rear of the receiving space. The terminal includes a front contact part provided on the front of the receiving space so as to be adjacent to each side wall part, and a rear contact part provided on the rear of the receiving space so as to be adjacent to each side wall part. The front contact part and the rear contact part are disposed in nearly a straight line extending in the anteroposterior direction, face each other, and are capable of holding a counterpart terminal of the counterpart connector from the front and rear thereof.

An electronic component is provided that includes multiple conductive terminals and an insulator integrated with the conductive terminals. A leg part possessed by one of the conductive terminals and a leg part possessed by another one of the conductive terminals are disposed so as to vertically overlap each other. The leg part possessed by one of the conductive terminals and the leg part possessed by another one of the conductive terminals have different lengths, and the tip of the shorter leg part of the two is covered by a thick part of the insulator.

Electronic component

A ground terminal is integrally formed with one ground coupling member extending in a width direction; a housing is integrally formed with a signal terminal, the ground terminal, and the ground coupling member by insert molding; the signal terminal has a contact portion that comes into contact with a counterpart signal terminal and a tail portion soldered to a core wire of a coaxial cable exposed from the housing; the ground coupling member includes a shield connecting portion that is exposed from the housing on a rear side of the tail portion of the signal terminal and soldered to a shield of the coaxial cable; and the ground terminal has a portion other than the contact portion embedded in the housing.

Coaxial cable electrical connector

A connector includes a housing, a terminal attached to the housing, and a bending member that connects the housing and a substrate. The bending member can electrically connect to wiring of the substrate. The housing can be inserted in an opening of a panel positioned above the substrate. A guide cap can be attached to a tip end part of the housing.

Connector

A connector is provided which includes a stage having an arrangement surface for arranging the end portion of the flat cable, and an opposing portion formed so as to face the arrangement surface. An engaging protruding portion is formed in the arrangement surface for engaging the flat cable. The end portion of the flat cable is insertable from the front side to the rear side of the connector between the arrangement surface and the opposing portion. The opposing portion has an extending portion positioned in front of the engaging protruding portion, and an overhanging portion extending to the rear of a first section.

An electrical connector () is provided for terminating a flat electrical circuit () to a printed circuit board. The connector includes a dielectric housing () having an opening () for receiving an end of the flat circuit. A, plurality of terminals are mounted on the housing in a side-by-side array and are spaced along the opening. Some of the terminals have mounting sections () for fixing the terminal in the dielectric housing. Each such terminal includes a tail section () projecting from one end of the mounting, section outside the housing for connector to an appropriate circuit trace on the printed circuit board. A flexible contact arm () projects from an opposite end of the mounting section into the opening. An actuator section () is disposed between the flexible contact arm and the mounting section. An actuator () is movably mounted on the housing for movement between and open position allowing the flat circuit to be inserted into the opening and a closed position in engagement with the actuator sections of the terminals to bias the flexible contact arms into engagement with the flat circuit.

Flat circuit connector

An FPC connector permits downsizing and not exerting residual stress on terminals irrespective of the pivoting position of an actuator while an FPC is not connected. The FPC connector is provided with biasing beams respectively arranged adjacent contact terminals disposed in an insulative housing. The biasing beams are pivotable about support points at intermediate portions thereof. The biasing beams are pivoted by means of pivotal actuator.
