The fuel injection control device and fuel injection control method according to the present invention allow a fuel injection device to perform fuel injection in the case where an open period of the intake valve and an open period of the exhaust valve overlap with each other, and sets the timing to start injection to the closing timing of the exhaust valve, and that sets the timing to end injection to the timing at which a deceleration rate of intake air speed becomes the local maximum. As such, the homogeneity of in-cylinder air-fuel mixture can be improved while preventing the adhesion of fuel to the inner wall of the intake port and the blow-through of fuel to the exhaust passage from occurring.

Fuel injection control device and fuel injection control method for internal combustion engine

The present invention relates to a control device and a control method for an internal combustion engine including a fuel injection valve and an electric fuel pump. In stopping the internal combustion engine, the control device stops driving of the fuel pump and then fuel injection by the fuel injection valve, and increases the total amount of fuel injection by the fuel injection valve after stopping of driving of the fuel pump as the temperature of fuel in stopping the internal combustion engine decreases, thereby reducing a fuel pressure in a stop period. In this manner, fuel leakage from the fuel injection valve in the stop period can be reduced with a simple configuration.

The present invention relates to a control apparatus and method for an internal combustion engine including two fuel injection valves in the intake port of each cylinder. In the present invention, fuel injection from a first fuel injection valve is activated while fuel injection from a second fuel injection valve is temporarily stopped at the resumption of fuel injection from the deceleration fuel cut-off state in response to a decrease in the engine rotation speed. The amount of minimum fuel injection to each cylinder that ensures the accuracy of fuel measurement can be reduced, and fuel is injected from the first fuel injection valve in an amount equal to or greater than the amount of minimum fuel injection. Thus, fuel injection can be resumed at a lower engine speed than when fuel injection is resumed from the two fuel injection valves.

An apparatus and a method control an internal-combustion engine with a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into an inlet port. In fuel injection control, injection field pressure at injection start timing is estimated from engine rotation speed and injection starting timing of the fuel injection valve. Since flow rate of the fuel injection valve fluctuates when a fuel accumulating space between a valve body and injection holes of the fuel injection valve changes by injection field pressure, a correction value to correct flow rate fluctuations is calculated based on injection field pressure at injection start timing. Fuel injection by the fuel injection valve is controlled by setting the result of adding the correction value to an injection pulse width calculated from intake air flow, engine rotation speed, etc., to final injection pulse width. Air-fuel ratio error is thereby reduced even when injection field pressure at injection timing changes.

A fuel injection control apparatus for fuel injection at optimum timing in correspondence with level of gas flow velocity in an intake port upon intake stroke injection. A fuel injection valve is controlled so as to set a large majority (more than half) of an injection period to inject fuel during an intake stroke in respective cylinders within a period where intake port gas pressure is increased. Upon intake stroke injection, the fuel is injected at optimum timing in correspondence with the direction and the level of gas flow velocity in the intake port. In a control apparatus for and a control method of controlling a variable valve mechanism in a hybrid vehicle, just before an engine is stopped in response to an automatic stop request, an intake valve closing timing is controlled to be set to a second closing timing near the bottom dead center to stabilize an engine stop position; when the engine is stopped, the intake valve closing timing is retarded from the second closing timing to a first closing timing that is suitable for engine start; the engine is started with the closing timing being set to the first closing timing, and the intake valve closing timing is changed towards the retard angle side beyond closing timing against rev-up of the engine just after completion of engine start, so that the rev-up can be suppressed with good response while controlling the intake valve closing timing as required for starting the engine.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for and a method of controlling a variable valve timing mechanism. The valve timing mechanism changes over between a first cam for which the closing timing IVC of the intake valve is after intake bottom dead center, and a second cam for which the closing timing IVC is closer to intake bottom dead center than the closing timing IVC with the first cam. Here at the time of stopping the internal combustion engine, the valve timing mechanism changes over to the first cam, and the initial intake stroke performs operation at low effective compression ratio. In the second and subsequent intake strokes, the valve timing mechanism changes from the first cam to the second cam.

Apparatus for and method of controlling variable valve timing mechanism

A fuel supply apparatus for an engine in which calculation of a manipulated variable of a fuel pump in response to a deviation between a fuel pressure detected by a fuel pressure sensor and a target value is carried out, is configured in a manner such that when the fuel pressure sensor is failed, a change in the fuel pressure is estimated based on a required fuel flow amount of an engine, a discharge amount of the fuel pump and a fuel pressure detected immediately before the fuel pressure sensor is failed, so that deciding of the manipulated variable of the fuel pump is made, based on the estimation value. A method of controlling the fuel supply apparatus to realize the controlling of the fuel pump based on the manipulated variable is also disclosed.
