Document conveying device

A document sheet conveying device includes a sheet feed tray lift mechanism, a top plate portion, a fixed wall portion, and a lifted wall portion. The sheet feed tray lift mechanism lifts up and down a sheet feed tray. The top plate portion is adjacent to the sheet feed tray at a downstream side, in a sheet feed direction, of the sheet feed tray, and is contacted by a lower surface of a document sheet having been fed. The fixed wall portion is provided to extend downward from an upstream end, in the sheet feed direction, of the top plate portion, and the position of the fixed wall portion is fixed. The lifted wall portion extends upward from a downstream end of the sheet feed tray in the sheet feed direction and is lifted up and down along the fixed wall portion together with the sheet feed tray.

Document sheet conveying device capable of achieving large capacity of sheet feed tray

A document conveying device according to the present disclosure includes a sheet feeding tray, a discharge tray, a feeding roller, a first lifting mechanism, a conveying mechanism, a support member and a second mechanism. On the sheet feeding tray, a document is stacked. The discharge tray is provided below the sheet feeding tray. The feeding roller feeds the document on the sheet feeding tray. The first lifting mechanism supports both end portions of the sheet feeding tray in a width direction intersecting a conveying direction of the document, and lifts and lowers the sheet feeding tray such that an upper surface of the document comes in contact with the feeding roller. The support member supports the sheet feeding feed tray on an upstream side of the first lifting mechanism in the conveying direction. The second lifting mechanism lifts and lowers the support member in synchronization with the sheet feeding tray.

An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeding tray, a sheet discharge tray, and a conveyance mechanism. The conveyance mechanism includes a guide part, a first turning shaft, a second turning shaft, a coupling member and a drive part. The guide part has a sheet discharge port. The first turning shaft supports the guide part so as to be turned around an axis along a width direction crossing to the conveyance direction. The second turning shaft is provided on the downstream side of the first turning shaft and below the guide part. The coupling member has one end portion supported by the second turning shaft in a turnable manner and the other end portion provided so as to be slidable with respect to the guide part. The drive part turns the coupling member around the second turning shaft to change a height of the sheet discharge port.

Provided is a document conveying apparatus that properly discharges documents regardless of the amount of documents stacked on a discharge tray without complicated construction of a transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force to conveying rollers. A conveying roller pair is provided at an end portion on an upstream side. A swing mechanism swings a discharge mechanism centered around a drive shaft of the conveying roller pair. An upper surface height measuring unit measures the height of the upper surface of documents stacked on the discharge tray. A control unit, by causing the swing mechanism to swing the discharge mechanism according to the height measured by the upper surface height measuring unit, performs control so that the difference between a discharge port and the upper surface of the documents stacked on the discharge tray is within a specified range.

Document conveying apparatus that properly discharges documents regardless of amount of documents

A document conveyance apparatus includes a first conveyance path, a first image reading part, a curved second conveyance path, a third conveyance path, a branch guide, a first discharge port, a document stacking section, a second discharge port and a tray support part. The first conveyance path extends linearly. The curved second conveyance path is branched from the first conveyance path at a branch point. The third conveyance path is branched from the first conveyance path at the branch point and extends linearly. Through the first discharge port, the document conveyed along the second conveyance path is discharged. The document stacking section is provided with a discharge tray. Through the second discharge port, the document conveyed along the third conveyance path is discharged. To the tray support part, the detached discharge tray is supported such that the document discharged through the second discharge port is stacked.

Document conveyance apparatus

A document conveyance apparatus includes a first conveyance path, a first image reading part, a second conveyance path, a third conveyance path and a branch guide. The first conveyance path extends linearly. The first image reading part reads an image on one face of the document conveyed along the first conveyance path. The second conveyance path branches from the first conveyance path at a branch point on a downstream side of the first reading part in a conveyance direction of the document and is formed to be curved. The third conveyance path branches from the first conveyance path at the branch point and extends linearly in a same extending direction as an extending direction of the first conveyance path. An image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer belt, an image forming device, a brush roller, a bias application device, and a controller. The bias application device applies, between the intermediate transfer belt and the brush roller, a bias for shifting a charged residual toner from the intermediate transfer belt to the brush roller. The controller controls, in a period in which calibration or maintenance is executed, the bias application device to set an application amount of the bias at a predefined first value only in a specified time zone in which the residual toner is present on the intermediate transfer belt and to set the application amount of the bias at a predefined second value smaller than the first value in time zones other than the specified time zone.

In a push button portion of a button member, a first supported portion is supported by a push-in portion of a push-in type switch. A second supported portion is supported in a second area by an electronic board. The second area is adjacent to one side of the electronic component. An elastic portion connects a portion including the second supported portion to a portion including the push button portion and the first supported portion. A plurality of guided portions are restricted by a plurality of guide projection portions projecting from an exterior member, from being displaced in a direction intersecting a depth direction. The plurality of guide projection portions are provided in the first area and the second area.

A shutter member of a toner case includes a compatible key and an engaged portion. A storage portion for storing the toner case includes a compatible member rockably supported at a position that faces the shutter member during an insertion process of the toner case. The compatible member includes a first contact portion and a first engaging portion. The first contact portion is located on a forward side of a rocking shaft of the compatible member in the insertion direction. The first engaging portion is located on a backward side of the rocking shaft in the insertion direction. During an insertion process of the toner case, the first engaging portion of the compatible member is engaged with the engaged portion so that the shutter member moves from a closing position to an opening position.

A transfer unit includes a transfer belt, transfer rollers, support members, moving members, a pinion gear, a sensor, and a light shielding plate that blocks or opens an optical path of the detection portion by rotation of a gear transmitting the drive force to the pinion gear. The light shielding plate includes a pulse portion in which a plurality of slits are formed, and at least one of a light shielding portion and a light transmitting portion formed adjacent to the pulse portion. A rotation amount of the gear is detected based on the number of the slits of the pulse portion that has passed the detection portion, and a reference position of the gear is detected based on timing when an edge of the light shielding portion blocks the detection portion or timing when an edge of the light transmitting portion opens the optical path of the detection portion.

An image forming apparatus includes a unit horizontally insertable and drawable with respect to a main body frame, and a lock mechanism for the unit. The lock mechanism includes a lock member which has an engagement projection engageable with an engaged portion formed in the main body frame, and a biasing member which biases the lock member in a first direction toward engagement of the engagement projection with the engaged portion. Along with insertion of the unit, the lock member moves in a second direction, and when the unit is inserted to a predetermined position, biasing force of the biasing member causes the lock member to move in the first direction and the engagement projection engages with the engaged portion. By moving the lock member in the second direction, engagement between the engagement projection and the engaged portion is released to make it possible to draw the unit.

Prior to the correcting operation, the control unit causes a toner image for monitoring to be transferred to an area of a circumferential surface of the belt passing a detection area of a density sensor, causes the density sensor to perform a first detecting operation of detecting the toner image for monitoring, subsequently causes the density sensor to perform a second detecting operation of detecting the toner image for monitoring after the circumferential surface of the belt is moved by a predetermined distance, and calculates a meandering amount of the belt by comparing a first density value obtained by the first detecting operation and a second density value obtained by the second detecting operation.
