Disclosed herein is a plasma generating apparatus capable of sufficiently performing a deodorization function and a sterilization function by increasing a generation amount of ions or radicals while suppressing generation of ozone. The plasma generating apparatus has a pair of electrodes (and) provided with dielectric films (and) and serves to apply a predetermined voltage between the electrodes (and) to discharge plasma, fluid circulation holes (and) are respectively provided at corresponding positions of the respective electrodes (and) and pass through the electrodes, and plasma is generated only in opening end portions (and) forming the fluid circulation holes (and) between the pair of electrodes (and).

The plasma display panel may include a front substrate and a rear substrate, address electrodes extending in a predetermined direction on the rear substrate, and a barrier rib layer disposed between the front and rear substrates for defining a plurality of discharge spaces. The barrier rib layer includes barrier rib members for defining the plurality of discharge spaces, and display electrodes forming opposing electrodes with the discharge spaces therebetween, with grooves formed in a direction crossing the address electrodes on the barrier rib members facing the front substrate, and inner surfaces of the grooves that are coated with display electrodes.

Plasma display panel and manufacturing method of the same

A gas discharge display device and a method of manufacturing the same. The gas discharge display device includes first and second substrates provided opposing one another. First electrodes are formed on the second substrate, and second electrodes are formed on the first substrate. Barrier ribs are formed between the second electrodes and define concave regions and discharge cells. Further, terminals are formed to an exterior of the discharge cells and are connected to the second electrodes. Gradient surfaces are formed along one end of the concave regions. Also, connecting electrodes are formed on the gradient surfaces for connection to the terminals and the second electrodes. The method includes forming the concave regions using a nozzle for ejecting powder, forming the gradient surfaces using a difference in a cutting rate between a center axis and a periphery of the nozzle, and forming the connecting electrodes.

A plasma display includes first and second substrates provided opposing one another. A plurality of first electrodes is formed on a surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate. A first dielectric layer is formed covering the first electrodes. A plurality of main barrier ribs is formed on a surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate, the main barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells. A plurality of electrode barrier ribs is formed on the second substrate between the main barrier ribs. Phosphor layers are formed within the discharge cells, and discharge gas included in the discharge cells, where the main barrier ribs are formed integrally to the second substrate, and a second electrode and a second dielectric layer are formed, in this order, on a distal end of each of the electrode barrier ribs. A method of manufacturing the plasma display includes the processes of integrally forming a plurality of main barrier ribs on a plasma display substrate, the main barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells, forming electrode barrier ribs between the main barrier ribs, forming an electrode on a distal end of each of the electrode barrier ribs, and forming a dielectric layer on each of the electrodes.

A plasma display panel includes first and second transparent substrates provided opposing one another; first electrodes provided in parallel on the first transparent substrate, second electrodes provided in parallel on the second transparent substrate on a surface of the same opposing the first transparent substrate, the second electrodes being formed perpendicular to the first electrodes, and barrier ribs that form concave sections between the second electrodes and define discharge cells together with the concave sections. A thickness of the stepped buffering layer is gradually increased in a longitudinal direction of the partition.
