A method for recovering resin from a salvage vehicle is provided that includes the steps of: dismantling the salvage vehicle to obtain a salvage vehicle shell; shredding the salvage vehicle shell to obtain a first shredder dust; air sorting the first shredder dust to obtain first low-specific-gravity dust and first high-specific-gravity dust which is higher specific gravity than the first low-specific-gravity dust; and wet gravitational sorting the first high-specific-gravity dust, in which interior components containing fiber are removed upon dismantling the salvage vehicle, and further including steps of shredding the interior components to obtain second shredder dust; and air sorting the second shredder dust to obtain second low-specific-gravity dust and second high-specific-gravity dust which is higher specific gravity than the second low-specific-gravity dust.

A seatbelt apparatus for a vehicle includes a control device for controlling an amount of electric current fed to a motor for winding a seatbelt. The control device controls the motor such that a predetermined amount of electric current is applied to the motor in a behavioral state of the vehicle requiring emergency measures, and such that when the seatbelt is wound a predetermined amount, the predetermined amount of winding is maintained.

A seat-weight sensor includes a load cell having a load sensor arranged therein and a support for holding a support shaft of the load cell. The support includes a convex portion to hold the support shaft and a pair of flange portions arranged at both sides of the convex portion and fixed to a vehicle floor side. A squib associated with a supplemental restraint system includes an igniting agent positioned above a first pin that is a connecting terminal providing a connection with a two-wire system bus wire, which is an external signal wire, and above a header that is provided with a second pin that is a connecting terminal. The squib also includes an IC substrate that controls communications and ignitions, and is positioned above the igniting agent, an ignition element between the igniting agent and the IC substrate, and joining portions provided in two locations bridging the igniting agent so as to connect the IC substrate with the first pin and the header. The IC substrate, the igniting agent, the pin, and the header are covered by a circular cylinder shaped cap whose top portion is closed off. Furthermore, these are formed integrally by being covered by a resin mold that is made to extend across the portions of the pins using a molding process. When the squib is operated it does not electrically affect the external signal wire.

A weight-detecting system for detecting the weight of an occupant sitting on a seat includes inner and outer weight-detecting units. The outer weight-detecting unit includes strain resistors mounted on a lower surface of its sensor plate. The inner weight-detecting unit includes strain resistors mounted on an upper surface of its sensor plate. When output voltages from the outer weight-detecting unit are represented by A and B, and output voltages from the inner weight-detecting unit are represented by C and D, the weight of an occupant is detected based on a value A+B+C'+D&#x2032; provided by adding output voltages C&#x2032; and D&#x2032; resulting from the inversion of the output voltages C and D to the output voltages A and B. The weight-detecting units have the same characteristic of change in output voltages with respect to change in temperature. Therefore, when the output voltage (A+B) is added to the output voltage (C&#x2032;+D&#x2032;), a detection error due to a change in temperature can be countervailed. Thus, the weight of the occupant sitting on a seat can be detected accurately without being influenced by the change in temperature.
