A window glass heating device for a vehicle is provided with a window heater configured to heat a whole area of a window glass, a window heater control unit configured to control the window heater, a camera heater that is an electric heater which heats a camera-imaging window area which is a part of the window glass included in an imaging area of a camera that images a vehicle exterior from a vehicle interior via the window glass, and a camera heater control unit configured to control supply of power to the camera heater. The camera heater control unit is configured to acquire window heater operation information, acquire a temperature of the camera heater, and control supply of power to the camera heater such that the temperature of the camera heater is within a predetermined temperature range based on the window heater operation information.

Window glass heating device

A window glass heating device for a vehicle is provided with: a window heater; a window heater control unit that controls operation of the window heater based on an operation on an operation switch; a camera heater; and a camera heater control unit that controls supply of power to the camera heater to defog the camera-imaging window area. The camera heater control unit is configured to acquire window heater operation information which is operation information on operation of the window heater and to limit supply of power to the camera heater when it is estimated that the camera heater is potentially overheated by heat applied from the window heater to the camera heater based on the window heater operation information.

Object detection apparatus

A photographing apparatus for vehicle includes a photographing apparatus, heating means, and a control device. The photographing apparatus is disposed inside a vehicle so as to face a window of the vehicle and is configured to receive photographing light passing through the window. The heating means is disposed inside the vehicle so as to face the window. The heating means generates heat that is given to the window when voltage of an electric power source of the vehicle is applied to the heating means. The control device changes voltage application time that is time period for applying the voltage of the electric power source to the heating means so that a total amount of heat generated by the heating means for a predetermined period of time is coincident with a predetermined amount determined based at least on an outside air temperature.

Photographing apparatus for vehicle and heating device

A photographing apparatus for vehicle includes a photographing apparatus, heating means, an outside air temperature detector, and a control device. The photographing apparatus is disposed inside a vehicle so as to face a window of the vehicle and is configured to receive photographing light passing through the window. The heating means is disposed inside the vehicle so as to face the window and generates heat when receiving electricity. The outside air temperature detector detects outside air temperature which is air temperature outside of the vehicle. The control device calculates an amount corresponding to a target value of electric energy to be supplied to the heating means for a predetermined period of time based on the outside air temperature detected by the outside air temperature detector and temperature of the photographing apparatus, the control device supplying electric energy corresponding to the target value to the heating means.

A photographing apparatus for vehicle includes a control device which is configured to execute either a first processing or a second processing when a specific condition is satisfied until when a predetermined period of time elapses from start time of the predetermined period of time. The specific condition is satisfied when magnitude of a heat generation amount determination factor deviates from magnitude of the heat generation amount determination factor at the start time of the predetermined period of time by a predetermined value or more. The first processing is a processing to stop applying voltage to heating means until when the predetermined period of time elapses. The second processing is a processing to change a voltage application time based on magnitude of the heat generation amount determination factor at the time when the specific condition is satisfied.

Automatic wiper control prohibiting means prohibits execution of automatic wiper control when vehicle stop detecting means detects that a vehicle is stopping and a masking object detecting part determines that a masking object is adhered to an outer surface of a window part. When the vehicle stop detecting means detects that the vehicle is stopping and a state of the masking object detecting part is changed from a state where the masking object detecting part detects that the masking object is adhered to the outer surface of the window part to a state where the masking object detecting part detects that the masking object is not adhered to the outer surface of the window part at a changing time, the automatic wiper control prohibiting means prohibits the execution of said automatic wiper control for a predetermined period of time from the changing time.

The animal type determination device configured to perform pattern recognition with respect to an image obtained by image-capturing a periphery of a vehicle using a plurality of pre-stored animal image patterns, and to determine the type of an animal in the image is provided. The animal type determination device is configured to recognize the type of a caution target animal indicated by an animal warning sign in the image captured by a camera, raise a determination priority of the animal image pattern corresponding to the type of the caution target animal in a case where the type of the caution target animal is recognized, and performs the pattern recognition of the animal image pattern in the order of the determination priority to determine the type of the animal in the image.

The collision avoidance assistance device includes a camera configured to acquire an image of an area around the vehicle and a controller. The controller is configured to: detect an image of an animal in the image of the area around the vehicle; determine a type of the animal detected in the image; retrieve behavior characteristics index values representing behavior characteristics of the determined type of the animal; calculate a future presence area of the animal based on the behavior characteristics index values; determine a probability of a collision between the animal and the vehicle based on the calculated future presence area of the animal; and perform a collision avoidance assistance function based on the determined probability of the collision between the animal and the vehicle.
