A wireless slave device for performing wireless network communication with another wireless slave device, the other wireless slave device being connected to a terminal, and wired network communication with a terminal, the wireless slave device including a wireless reception unit that wirelessly receives a notification frame including a MAC address of the terminal connected to the other wireless slave device and a MAC address of the other wireless slave device, a storage unit that associates and stores the MAC address of the other wireless slave device and the MAC address of the terminal both included in the wirelessly received notification frame, a wire reception unit that receives a frame transmitted from the terminal connected to the wireless slave device, and a filtering unit that discards the frame if the transmission destination MAC address of the frame received by wire does not match the MAC address stored in the storage unit.

Provided is, a wireless network that conducts wireless communications having superior latency and power-saving performance, while avoiding interference wave influences by using multiple channels. Besides conducting communications with wireless communication terminalstoby switching a channel in each beacon period and transmitting a beacon frame, a control device: measures communication conditions of the channel and interference wave influences; determines availability of the channel; and stores available channel information. The control devicedelivers the available channel information in the beacon frame to the terminal devicesto. The terminal devicesto: select an optimum channel by switching the channel in each beacon period depending on the available channel information in the received beacon frame and on transmission conditions of the channel used by oneself; and conduct the wireless communications. With this, it is possible to switch usage channels rapidly while avoiding interference wave influences.

Control device, terminal device, and communication system

A terminal device, used in communication system conducting communication by periodically switching frequency channels in a predefined sequence, communicates with a control device using a predefined channel. The terminal device includes: an antenna; a reception section receiving, from the control device, via the antenna, data and a beacon containing control information indicating the sequence and its timing; a transmission section transmitting data to the control device via the antenna; a data volume determining section determining whether a transmission can be completed within a predefined period; and a control section controlling, within the period, the reception section to receive the data and the beacon, and the transmission section to transmit the data, and when the data volume determining section determines that the transmission cannot be completed, further controlling the transmission section to, determine a next-to-be-used channel based on the control information, switch to the channel after the period, and continue the transmission.

Control device, terminal device, and communication system and communication method, using the same

A beacon is transmitted and received among a plurality of terminals STA. A terminal STA which transmits the beacon is assigned as a representative terminal MSTA which manages a group, and a terminal STA which receives the beacon is assigned as a belonging terminal SSTA of the group. The representative terminal MSTA obtains identification information from the belonging terminal SSTA and stores the identification information. Then, when receiving an AP beacon from a management terminal AP, the representative terminal MSTA collectively transmits, to the management terminal AP, the identification information of the representative terminal MSTA and the belonging terminal SSTA. The management terminal AP performs an authentication procedure, by using the collectively transmitted identification information, for each of all of the communication terminals which form the group.

A relay device receives transfer data from a transfer-source terminal and transfers the received transfer data to a transfer-destination terminal via relaying performed by another relay device. When the transfer data is received, the relay device establishes a direct communication with the other relay device, if information regarding the other relay device is attached to the received transfer data. If information regarding the other relay device is not attached, then the relay device attaches information regarding itself to the transfer data and transfers the resulting transfer data to a wireless control station.

Relay device

A wireless communication device capable of receiving a content by securing a band as much as possible, if a predetermined band is required to be secured when the content is received by wire. The wireless communication device judges whether or not the predetermined band necessary for receiving the content can be secured with a wireless master device. When it is judged that the predetermined band cannot be secured, the wireless communication device switches a connection destination from the wireless master device to which the wireless communication device has been connected to a different wireless master device that can secure the predetermined band, e.g., a predetermined receiving electric field strength.

A communication control apparatus for controlling communication by repeatedly sending a control signal to other apparatuses at a given time interval, the communication using a protocol that regulates transmissions of an acknowledgement as a receipt for one or more communication packets, and the control signal allocating, within the given time interval, two types of communication periods which are (i) a one-way communication period in which a one-way communication is performed and (ii) a two-way communication period in which a two-way communication is performed. The communication control apparatus determines, based on an occurrence ratio of the transmissions of the acknowledgement, a length of the one-way communication period, and sends the control signal that allocates a plurality of the one-way communication periods each of which has the determined length.

When a network system of the present invention performs a bandwidth-guaranteed communication, a terminal device collects information on one or more relay devices on a path to another terminal device via a bandwidth request packet transmitted to the another terminal. When the bandwidth cannot be allocated, a detour path is searched according to the collected relay device information so as to perform the bandwidth-guaranteed communication via the detour path.

A wireless communication apparatus is provided which is capable of performing synchronous transmission of a stream such as a video signal and therefore performing high-quality video transmission. The sending side generates time information based on a count of a beacon timer, adds the time information to a data packet of a video signal and sends the data packet. The receiving side, using PLL based on a timer count contained in a beacon, generates a clock having a higher frequency every time a beacon signal is received. The receiving side counts the clocks and accordingly generates new time information. This time information is compared with the time information added to the received data packet of the video signal, and the data packet is outputted only when the two match with each other.

A data reception device having a reception data buffer unit storing a plurality of packets contained in a data packet, a reception data amount measuring unit measuring the data amount stored in the reception data buffer unit, a variable clock generation unit generating a clock having a variable frequency, a time information output unit outputting second time information counted in accordance with the frequency of the clock generated by the variable clock generation unit, and a first time information comparison unit comparing the first time information added to the packets with the second time information outputted from the time information output unit and controlling the timing of outputting the packet stored in the reception data buffer unit. The reception data amount measuring unit controlling the frequency of the clock generated by the variable clock generation unit in accordance with measured values obtained by the reception data amount measuring unit.
