An electric blower includes an electric motor including a stator and a rotor. The impeller is rotated by the electric motor. An air guide having a plurality of guide blades is disposed around the impeller, and a casing encloses the impeller and the air guide. The casing is provided with a number of exhaust openings through which a part of an air stream suctioned by the impeller is discharged, and a circumferential length of each of the exhaust openings is substantially identical to a circumferential distance between outer peripheral ends of adjacent guide blades. Alternatively, the circumferential length of each of the exhaust openings may be less or greater than the circumferential distance between outer peripheral ends of adjacent guide blades.

An oxygen enrichment apparatus includes an oxygen enriching unit for generating oxygen-enriched air and a discharge unit for discharging the oxygen-enriched air transferred from the suction unit. The oxygen-enriched air generated by the oxygen enriching unit has an oxygen concentration ranging from about 25% to 35%. The apparatus also includes a suction unit for suctioning the oxygen-enriched air from the oxygen enriching unit and a control unit for controlling the operation of the suction unit. The main body is provided with a display unit for indicating a state that the oxygen-enriched air is being discharged out by the discharge unit. The oxygen enriching unit has at least one oxygen enriching membrane for generating the oxygen-enriched air and a condensed water treating unit is installed at an air passage for guiding the oxygen-enriched air from the oxygen enriching unit to the discharge unit via the suction unit.

An electric blower includes an electric motor having a rotating shaft and an impeller fixed to the rotating shaft for rotation. The impeller has a rear shroud fixed to the rotating shaft, a front shroud which faces the rear shroud and has an inlet hole to take in air, a plurality of blades disposed between the rear shroud and the front shroud, and an inducer which streamlines air flowing from the inlet hole and has a three dimensional-shaped vane. The inducer is formed separately from the blade and is disposed between the rear shroud and the front shroud, whereby an electric blower that is simple in structure, lower in clearance between parts, higher in strength, and lower in air loss is realized. Also, a practicable vacuum cleaner high in sucking performance is realized by the utilization of the electric blower.

An electric blower includes a motor unit having a stator and a rotor, a fan unit having an impeller attached to an output shaft of the rotor, and a circuit unit having a heat-generating component for controlling electric power to the motor unit. The circuit unit is arranged in an airflow path of air expelled from an outer periphery of the impeller toward the stator and the rotor of the motor unit. The air suctioned by rotation of the impeller cools the heat-generating component in the circuit unit before cooling the stator and the rotor.

A floor nozzle for use with a vacuum cleaner has an agitator rotatably disposed in a housing and includes a rotor and at least one elongate web mounted on a circumferential surface of the rotor. The elongate web is made of a flexible material and has a plurality of teeth on at least one of opposite surfaces thereof. The elongate web has a T-shaped helical anchor foot inserted in a complementary T-shaped helical groove defined in the circumferential surface of the rotor. The floor nozzle also has a turbine rotatable under a vacuum developed by the vacuum cleaner and operatively coupled to the agitator for rotating the agitator.

A floor nozzle of a vacuum cleaner is provided with an upper nozzle housing hingedly connected to an intake joint of the cleaner and a lower nozzle housing securely connected to the upper nozzle housing through a bumper, with an intake opening being formed on a lower side of the lower nozzle housing. A first air passage communicating between the intake opening and the intake joint is formed in the upper and lower nozzle housings. A dust collector is accommodated in the nozzle housings, and defines in it a second air passage communicating the first air passage. A thread catcher is so accommodated in the dust collector as to be rotatable in response to forward and rearward movement of the floor nozzle. The thread catcher is capable of catching waste thread on a surface to be cleaned when it rotates upon forward movement of the floor nozzle. A scraper is accommodated in the dust collector for removing the waste thread caught by the thread catcher when the thread catcher rotates upon rearward movement of the floor nozzle. A covering member is hingedly connected to the dust collector for opening or closing the second air passage.

A suction nozzle device connected to a vacuum cleaner for cleaning beddings such as blankets. The suction nozzle device includes a nozzle which is coupled through a suction passage to an electric blower of the vacuum cleaner and which has a suction opening at its end portion which is arranged so as to face an object to be cleaned. Also included is a pair of rotatable rollers each of which is cylindrically shaped and has on its outer circumferential surface a plurality of tooth-portions which are radially protruded from said outer circumferential surface. The suction opening thereof is positioned to be interposed between the pair of rotatable rollers. Each of the tooth-portions is elongated by a predetermined length in the directions of the axes of the rotatable rollers. Each of the rotatable rollers is divided into a plurality of sections each of which has a predetermined number of the tooth-portions and is formed so as to have at least a flat portion between the tooth-portions. The adjacent ones of the plurality of sections are disposed so that their flat portions are in 180.degree. out-of-phase relation to each other.
