A power transmission device of the present invention is a power transmission device for a vehicle, including: a generator configured to be driven by power of an internal combustion engine; a travel motor configured to be driven by electric power generated by the generator and to drive a drive wheels; and the drive wheels configured to be driven by the power of the internal combustion engine or power of the travel motor. The power transmission device includes: a first power transmission path configured to transmit power between the travel motor and the drive wheels; and a first clutch mechanism configured to allow or interrupt power transmission through the first power transmission path.

A vehicle drive apparatus includes an internal combustion engine, an electric-power-generating-motor gear train, a drive gear, a driven gear, a differential, a low clutch and a high clutch. The electric-power-generating-motor gear train and the driven gear are arranged on a first plane. The drive gear, the driven gear, and the differential are arranged on a second plane. A continuously variable transmission configured to transmit a rotational driving force of one pulley to another pulley by a driving-force transmitting means wound between the two pulleys, wherein each of the two pulleys is configured to vary a groove width thereof, the continuously variable transmission including: an engagement-receiving portion provided to the driving-force transmitting means, in a side of the driving-force transmitting means on which the driving-force transmitting means is wound on the pulleys; and a movable engaging portion provided to a shaft portion of at least one of the two pulleys, wherein the movable engaging portion is movable in a radial direction of the shaft portion to protrude from and escape into the shaft portion, wherein the movable engaging portion is configured to protrude from the shaft portion so as to engage with the engagement-receiving portion at least one of when a pulley-ratio region is in a setting for highest speed and when the pulley-ratio region is in a setting for lowest speed.

Continuously variable transmission

A bonding structure for a container member is disclosed. The container member has an opening and a covering member for covering the opening. The container member and covering member are abutted with each other and bonded by a friction stir welding operation. The bonding structure for the container and covering members comprises a bonding portion and a backing member. The bonding portion of the container member and the covering member is formed by inserting a friction stir welding tool into an abutting portion of the container member and the covering member. The backing member is provided for obstructing a plastic flow of materials for the container member and the covering member when the friction stir welding operation is performed. The backing member is disposed adjacent to the bonding portion, at a side of the abutting portion that is opposite to an inserting side of the friction stir welding tool.

Bonding structures for containers and method of bonding same

A vane wheel for torque converter with a plurality of blades formed integrally with a shell in a casting process is disclosed. The blade tilts relative to an axial direction of the vane wheel and has an inner surface located on a positive pressure side thereof and an outer surface located on a negative pressure side thereof. A root thickness in a middle section between an outer periphery side and an inner periphery side of the shell is thicker than a root thickness on the inner periphery side relative to a blade cross section along a circumferential direction from an axis center of the vane wheel.

Vane wheel for torque converter and manufacturing method

A continuously variable transmission belt, including a metal ring assembly including a plurality of metal rings, and a plurality of metal elements which are retained by the metal ring assembly and each has a saddle surface contacted with an inner circumferential surface of the metal ring assembly. The saddle surface includes opposed end peripheries spaced from each other in a traveling direction of the belt and a curved portion located at each of the opposed end peripheries. The curved portion has a range length extending in the traveling direction of the belt and a radius of curvature larger than the range length. The metal element is produced by a method including subjecting a metal sheet to presswork to form a workpiece, subjecting the workpiece to heat treatment and deburring and then to preliminary beveling and subsequent beveling.

Continuously variable transmission belt and method of producing metal element of the belt

Terminals of a solenoid valve which come into contact with an electrode portion of a circuit body are formed in a curved shape so as to generate a biasing force. A lock member to be inserted into a mounting hole of the circuit body projects from a bottom face of the solenoid valve. By turning the solenoid valve with the lock member being inserted into the mounting hole, the lock member engages with the mounting hole by receiving the biasing force. Thus, the solenoid valve can be mounted easily. The terminals are in elastic contact with the electrode portion thereby a reliability of connection being enhanced.

Connecting structure for electronic part and connection method thereof

A distributing board for electrical connection with an instrument having a tab terminal is provided. The distributing board includes a baseplate with recesses and a guide groove, a cover for covering the baseplate, female terminal metal fittings accommodated in the recesses and an electrical wire accommodated in the guide groove to connect the female terminal metal fittings with each other electrically. Each female terminal metal fitting includes a terminal fitting part for fitting the tab terminal and a pressure welding part. Under condition that the electrical wire is accommodated in the guide groove, the baseplate is covered with the cover. Since the female terminal metal fittings can be electrically connected with each other by welding the electrical wires on the individual female terminal metal fittings with pressure, it is possible to cope with changes in circuit easily.
