A coolant pipe connecting coupling in which a coolant passage is bent perpendicularly around a connecting portion has a low height connecting coupling and can reduce manufacturing costs. The coolant pipe connecting coupling includes a fixing block fixed to a connecting object by a bolt and a coolant pipe supported while being inserted into the fixing block. The coolant pipe is bent with an approximately zero bending radius. While at least an inside surface of the bending portion of the bending portion is received by the fixing block, the fixing block and the coolant pipe are fixed together. Therefore, a dimension of a connecting surface of the fixing block and the coolant pipe, that is, the height of the coolant pipe connecting coupling is set to be small. A coolant passage bent perpendicularly is not formed inside the fixing block, but coolant flow is bent perpendicularly by bending of the coolant pipe. Thus, manufacturing cost of the coolant pipe connecting coupling can be reduced.

Each of specific rollers which corresponds to one of the grooves is disposed in a circumference of the metal pipe at equal intervals and is pressed against the periphery of the metal pipe 10, thereby forming a plurality of the grooves at the same time. Because each of the grooves is formed by a specific forming roller, a plurality of the grooves can be formed separately, and the material of the wall between the grooves is prevented from being drawn. Thus, the grooves can be formed into a desired shape.

The pressing method according to the present invention, which uses a punch and a die divided into a first die part and a second die part, sequentially includes a first drawing step for drawing the material with the punch and the first die part of a die to form a first end portion of the product; and a second drawing step for drawing the material with the punch and the second die part of the die to form a second end portion of the product.

According to the present invention, in the first process, a pipe end of a long pipe is bent with a radius of curvature which is larger than a minimum radius of curvature to form a large R portion. That is to say, bending with a large radius of curvature (R) is performed to form a large R portion in a region in which cracking or excessive reduction of plate thickness of the bend outer-side portion, or buckling of the bend inner-side portion does not occur. Subsequently, in the second process, the pipe is bent with a small radius of curvature form a small R portion by pressing a pipe-end portion of the pipe from a pipe-end direction while fixedly holding the bend side wall of the pipe. In this way, it is possible to obtain an R-minimum elbow configuration irrespective of magnitude of an amount of elongation of material and further without special equipment or mechanisms, by minor modification of present equipment.

The module integrated type refrigerant condenser includes a roughly cylindrical right side header connected to the outlets of a plurality of condensing tubes and the inlets of a plurality of supercooling tubes, and a modulator directly connected to the right side header in the width direction of the core. By providing a partition part for dividing the second inner space into two gas-liquid separation chambers, the modulator is formed into a shape as if two roughly cylindrical pipe bodies were stacked up in the thickness direction of the core, and the width thereof is made shorter in comparison with a simple, cylindrical modulator.

A method for manufacturing long products from a lengthy plate-like material having an appreciably small thickness by press working is disclosed in which the plate-like material is fed in succession into the press working stages of a single press unit carrying out a centering process, a bending process, a coining process, a sizing process, perforating process, and a final shearing process. The material having passed these press working processes is formed into long products having various required lengths and various required number of perforations formed therein. The spacing of the perforations are kept constant irrespective of changes in the thickness and width of the material.

The strip 2 is inserted between forming rollers 1a and 1b so that fins 3 are formed on the strip 2. The forming rollers 1a 1b have a line of protrusion protruding radially on the periphery thereof and the protrusion of one roller mates with protrusion of the other roller. A part of the strip 2 sandwiched between side face portions 13a and 14a of the protrusion 13 and 14 is pressed in the direction of the thickness of the strip with a stress between yield stress and maximum stress of the strip 2. To adjust the stress, a clearance G between protrusions is controlled.

There is disclosed a metal plate laminated body. When a portion encircled by inner and outer closed curves is embossed, a projection is protruded from a lower surface of a metal plate. Since a width of protrusion is slightly larger than that of a recess, when press-fitting the projection into the recess of the contiguous metal plate, an outer peripheral surface of the projection which is formed along the outer closed curve is brought into press-contact with an outer peripheral surface of the recess; and an inner peripheral surface of the projection which is formed along the inner closed curve similarly comes in press-contact with an inner peripheral surface of the recess. These inner and outer peripheral surfaces cooperate to become effective contactual surfaces, and the contiguous metal plates are joined to each other.
