A method for producing a propylene-based polymer, including polymerizing propylene or propylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin except propylene in the presence of a catalyst with a horizontal polymerization reactor equipped with stirring vanes rotating around a horizontal axis therein by a continuous vapor-phase polymerization, which removes heat of polymerization by heat of vaporization of a liquefied propylene, wherein the reactor can set a plurality of area sections different in temperature in a horizontal direction inside the reactor, and satisfies at least one of i) a temperature difference, &#x394;T=T&#x3c9;&#x2212;T&#x3b1;, between an area section including an upstream end of the reactor (T&#x3b1;) and a downstream end (T&#x3c9;) thereof is 0.1 to 20&#xb0; C. and ii) a temperature difference, &#x394;T=Tx&#x2212;Tz, between an area section including a catalyst feed part (Tx) and dew point (Tz) of a mix gas in the reactor is 0 to 5&#xb0; C.

Method for producing propylene-based polymer

There is provided a polypropylene resin composition comprising a propylene polymer (A) containing 0 to 70% by mass of a propylene homopolymer (A-1) and 30 to 100% by mass of a propylene-ethylene block copolymer (A-2) defined below, an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (B) defined below, and an inorganic filler (C), wherein the proportion of the amount of the (A), the proportion of the amount of (B), and the proportion of the amount of (C) relative to the total amount of the (A), the (B) and the (C) are 40 to 94% by mass, 5 to 30% by mass, and 1 to 30% by mass, respectively, the propylene-ethylene block copolymer (A-2) is a mixture of a propylene homopolymer component and a propylene-ethylene random copolymer component, wherein the intrinsic viscosity, as measured in Tetralin of 135&#xb0; C., of the propylene-ethylene random copolymer component is within the range of 2.0 to 8.0 dl/g, the ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (B) is a copolymer of ethylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, the copolymer having a density of 0.85 to 0.89 g/cmand a melt flow rate, as measured at 190&#xb0; C. under a 2.16 kg load in accordance with JIS K7210, of more than 10 g/10 min and not more than 40 g/10 min.

Polypropylene resin composition, method for producing the same, and foam molded article

Disclosed is a production method of polypropylene having high MFR value and excellent product qualities with high productivity. The method enables to produce a propylene polymer by a gas phase process where the reaction heat is removed mainly by the heat of vaporization of liquefied propylene. The method is characterized by using a solid catalyst component (A) which is prepared by contacting components (A1), (A2) and (A3) shown below. Further disclosed are: a propylene polymer produced by the method; a propylene polymer composition; and a molded body of the composition. Component (A1): a solid component containing titanium, magnesium and a halogen as essential components. Component (A2): a vinyl silane compound. Component (A3): an organosilicon compound having an alkoxy group (A3a) and/or a compound having at least two ether bonds (A3b).

Propylene-based polymer and production method therefor, propylene-based polymer composition and molded body made thereof

An inventive mold is adapted to adhere skin materials having a boundary portion and a resin to each other, and is provided with a resin blocking member which is so embedded as to extend substantially along the boundary portion of the skin materials placed in the mold, and a movable member for projecting the resin blocking member from a molding surface. If such a mold is used, a flow of the resin supplied into the mold can be controlled by projecting the resin blocking member to thereby control an arrival timing of the resin at the boundary portion. Thus, displacement of the boundary portion and wrinkling can be securely prevented from occurring.

Mold for producing a multilayer molded article and a method for producing a multilayer molded article

Disclosed is a multilayer molded article comprising a thermoplastic resin substrate and at least two kinds of skin materials laminated on a surface of the substrate, the at least two kinds of skin materials including a pair of skin materials adjacent to each other wherein the pair of skin materials are folded toward the substrate to have folded edges which separate the substrate at least partly to define two portions, wherein the separated portions of the substrate are combined together via a plurality of ribs of the thermoplastic resin molded integrally with the substrate, the ribs enclosing therein a part of the folded edges of the pair of skin materials.

Multilayer molded articles

The present invention provides a method for producing a multilayer molded article comprising a step of supplying a skin material having at least a foam layer between a pair of a male mold half and a female mold half, supplying a molten thermoplastic resin between the skin material and the molding surface of one of the male mold half and the female mold half, a step of laminating the skin material onto at least a part of the surface of a substrate made from the thermoplastic resin and a step of forming a recess in the skin material laminating region, wherein the thickness, t (mm), of the foam layer in the skin material before molding is 0.6 R or less wherein R represents the minimum radius (mm) of the recess on the skin material laminating side of the substrate in the skin material laminating region of the multilayer molded article.

Methods for producing multilayer molded articles

The present process includes a mold for producing a thermoplastic resin molded article, comprising paired sliding female and male mold members, which mutually slide at the time of mold closing. A product-forming portion and a non-product-forming portion are provided in the cavity of the mold, the mold further including a resin-supplying opening. A gate portion located at a boundary between the product-forming portion and non-product-forming portion interconnects the two portions. At closing of the mold, the width of the gate at the product-forming side is less than the thickness of the formed product, and stepwise or continuously widens toward the non-product-forming side. Using this mold, a thermoplastic resin molded article, with or without a laminated skin material, can be molded in good efficiency and low cost, further having a non-product-forming portion, which can be readily trimmed from the product-forming portion.

Process for producing a thermoplastic resin molded article

The present invention provides a process for producing a multilayer molded article having a skin material laminated with at least a part of the surface of a substrate formed of a thermoplastic resin. The process has steps of supplying a skin material to between a pair of mold halves and supplying a molten thermoplastic resin to between the skin material and the molding surface of one of the mold halves. The process uses, as the skin material, a skin material which has at least a foamed urethane layer and a nonfoamed backing layer wherein the product of the density, &rgr; (g/cm ), of the foamed urethane layer and the weight, W (g/m ), of the backing layer is not less than 2. This process prevents crush of the foamed urethane layer and can produce a multilayer molded article with good appearance.

Process for producing multilayer molded article

A process for producing a multilayer molded article in which a surface of a thermoplastic resin substrate is partly or entirely laminated with a skin material. In the process, a mold including a pair of a female and a male mold halves is used, the process involves (a) supplying the skin material to a predetermined position between the female and the male mold halves in an open state; (b) supplying a molten thermoplastic resin between the skin material and a molding surface of any one of the female and the male mold halves; (c) clamping the mold after or while supplying the molten thermoplastic resin; (d) carrying out primary cooling of the molten thermoplastic resin in the mold; (e) moving a part or a whole of the mold half, wherein the part or the whole of the mold half has a molding surface contacting the skin material, relative to a surface of the skin material to make a gap between the surface of the skin material and a molding surface of the part or the whole of the mold half; (f) carrying out secondary cooling of the molten thermoplastic resin in the state of keeping the position of the mold halves made in the above (g); and (h) opening the mold halves after solidification of the molten thermoplastic resin and taking the molded article out of the mold.

The present invention relates to a metal mold for producing a synthetic resin molded product in a compression-molding method, which is comprises a pair of male and female molds which are allowed to mutually slide over a contact face, with the outer circumferential face of the male mold and the inner circumferential face of the female mold serving as sliding portions at the time of mold-clamping, characterized in that either the male mold or the female mold or both of the molds is constituted by a mold main body and a sliding member. The sliding member forms a portion of the metal mold over the entire sliding portions or on a portion thereof, and is removably attached to the mold main body. The same metal mold may be used for production of a non-laminated synthetic resin molded product and a laminated product having the same design by replacing only the sliding member, without the need for using different molding devices corresponding to the respective production processes.
