The object of the present invention is to provide an inorganic board whose dimensional stability, anti-freezing and fusing properties, and the like are much improved. To attain this object, an inorganic board is manufactured using a method comprising: preparing a raw material slurry by the dispersing of a cementitious material, silica-containing material, woody reinforcement, and mica in water, forming a papered mat by sheet forming the raw material slurry, pressing the papered mat, and curing the pressed papered mat in an autoclave at a temperature higher than 150&#xb0; C., wherein the mass ratio of the cementitious inorganic material and silica-containing material is set to be in the range of between 35:65 and 45:55, to promote the curing reaction of the inorganic board and improve its dimensional stability and anti-freezing and fusing properties.

Inorganic board and a method for the manufacturing thereof

An inorganic board consisting of an inorganic base layer formed by a paper making method and an inorganic surface layer formed by the dry method on said inorganic base layer is provided in the present invention. A synthetic resin emulsion and/or a rubber latex is coated on and permeates said inorganic base layer so as to supply the water to said inorganic surface layer and improve the delamination strength between said inorganic base layer and said inorganic surface layer.

An embossing apparatus for inorganic board and the method of embossing thereby are provided in the present invention. In the present invention, an uncured mat of inorganic board set on a lower fixed plate is embossed by a flexible mold plate of a upper movable plate wherein the surface of said flexible mold plate divided into a plural number of square patterns enclosed by ridges and said flexible mold plate is bent downward and convexly such that the ridge lines of said ridges on both sides of the lowest part of said flexible mold plate are respectively situated at the same level as the lowest part or higher than the lowest part.
