To provide a dispersing apparatus that can stir media in a vessel uniformly, and by increasing the shearing power at stirring, can perform quality constant dispersion with high dispersing efficiency. In a dispersing apparatus wherein a basket-shaped vesselcontaining dispersing medium consisting of ceramic balls, zirconia balls, and the like is submerged in a tankfilled with a compound, and stirrer vanesare rotated in the above vessel to stir the above dispersing medium, and the compound that goes through the inside of the above vesselis dispersed, a rotation driving mechanismfor rotating the above vesselin the opposite direction to the above stirrer components.

Compound dispersing method and apparatus

An image reading system prescans and/or scans a film with magnetic recording and image data to be stored in a film cartridge after the film is developed. The image reading system employs a one-dimensional CCD and is capable of recording/reading retrievable ID numbers on a magnetic recording part. A thumbnail display simultaneously displays all image and magnetic information of all frames of a film, and selected frames to be scanned can be easily identified and compared after obtaining the image data of such film through prescanning. Magnetic recording-information and image information are rapidly read during prescanning and selected frames are then scanned with more refinement as compared to the coarse scanning of the film during prescanning.

Image reading device and method

An image input system having an image input device and an original holder that can read images from different configurations of original documents. An image input device includes a light emitting assembly that irradiates light onto an original document, a reading assembly that reads and composes the reading light passing the original document into an image and an assembly for moving the reading assembly and the original document relative to each other to scan the reading light over the original document. The original holder includes a cartridge housing component for housing a film cartridge. The original holder can be removed from the image input device, making possible the reading of images from different kinds of original documents.

The grains of the blend are dispersed by the primary vanes that are rotating in the basket 20 and pass through the slits formed by numerous wires having a circular shape in cross section in the side wall of the basket. Due to the whirling current or vortex current in the basket near the opening and in the tank produced by the stirrer means made up of grooves and/or vanes under the top cover that is provided at the upper portion of the side wall of the basket, the blend near the opening is introduced again into the basket from the inclined surface of the top cover that is downwardly inclined toward the center of the opening together with the dispersing media that have flown from the basket, and is dispersed again.
