An exhaust system of a saddle-ride type vehicle includes an exhaust pipe portion, a chamber portion, and a silencer. The exhaust pipe portion is coupled to an engine supported by a frame. The exhaust pipe portion is configured to guide exhaust air. The chamber portion is coupled to the exhaust pipe portion. A cross section of the chamber portion is formed larger than the exhaust pipe portion. The silencer is coupled to the chamber portion. The chamber portion includes: a main body portion disposed below the frame, and a fixing bracket projecting upward from the main body portion. The fixing bracket is secured to the frame. The frame and the fixing bracket have a fixed position. The fixed position is positioned above a lower end of the frame.

Exhaust system of saddle-ride type vehicle

An exhaust control device for an engine performs exhaust control of an exhaust system composed of exhaust pipes connected to a plurality of cylinders respectively and gathering to a collecting pipe. The exhaust control device includes at least two kinds of exhaust valves that perform the exhaust control at different parts in the exhaust system; and a single actuator that drives the exhaust valves to open and close.

Exhaust control device for engine

A water pump is disposed so as to be mounted on a cylinder head cover of an engine. An electric motor is disposed continuously from the water pump. The water pump sends cooling water to a water jacket of a cylinder block via a cooling water pipe disposed so as pass in front of the cylinder head cover and a cylinder head. In an upper end portion of a radiator, an inlet through which the cooling water is led from the engine is disposed on the left and an outlet through which the cooling water is supplied to the water pump is disposed on the right. The inlet is connected to the cylinder block via a cooling water pipe, and the outlet is connected to the water pump via a cooling water pipe.

One or more throttle bodies and a surge tank are disposed behind a cylinder head, and an intercooler is disposed by being adjacent to the surge tank at a position behind the cylinder head and the one or more throttle bodies. A supercharger is provided in front of the intercooler.

A motorcycle is equipped with a V-type engine in which front and rear cylinders are arranged in a V-shape along a vehicle front and rear direction. An exhaust device includes: a catalyst device disposed on an exhaust downstream side of a collection part of an exhaust pipe of the front cylinder and an exhaust pipe of the rear cylinder; and a connecting pipe via which the exhaust pipe of the front cylinder and the exhaust pipe of the rear cylinder communicate with each other, and the connecting pipe passes through a space between the exhaust pipe of the rear cylinder and the catalyst device.

Exhaust device of motorcycle

An engine; an air cleaner which filtrates fuel air; a turbocharger which compresses intake fuel air; an intake pipe which connects the air cleaner and the turbocharger; and an intake passage which induces the fuel air taken from an intake port at an end part to the air cleaner, are included. The turbocharger is located at a front side lower part of the engine, and the air cleaner is located under a crankcase. The intake passage extends rearward from a rear part of the air cleaner, and thereafter, bends upward.

When an exhaust gas sensor is mounted to an exhaust pipe into which exhaust gas from an engine is introduced, an intermediate member is made to intervene between the exhaust gas sensor and a boss provided in an exhaust manifold, the intermediate member being fastened to the boss by bolts and the exhaust gas sensor being screwed into a screw hole formed in the intermediate member, so that a sensor portion at a front end of the exhaust gas sensor is inserted into the inside of the exhaust pipe. Though the screw hole formed in the intermediate member is to be exposed to high-temperature gas of the exhaust manifold, stainless steel, whose high-temperature strength is high, being used for the intermediate member, a female screw of the screw hole is hard to be softened and an occurrence of torque down can be suppressed.

An exhaust system for a motorcycle having an engine mounted on a front half of a body frame of the motorcycle includes a plurality of first exhaust pipes extending from exhaust ports of the engine, a collecting section at which the first exhaust pipes are collected, a second exhaust pipe including a substantially straight portion connected to a downstream side of the collecting section and disposed under a crankcase of the engine, an expansion chamber connected to a downstream side of the second exhaust pipe and located under a rear wheel suspension arranged behind the engine, an exhaust outlet disposed on a most downstream portion of the expansion chamber, and an exhaust throttle valve and an exhaust gas sensor disposed on the straight portion of the second exhaust pipe.
