To provide a hard capsule composed of a hard capsule film that can be molded by a cold gelation method and has enteric properties. The problem is solved by an enteric hard capsule comprising a film (a) containing a first component and a second component, or (b) containing a first component and a second component, and further containing at least one component selected from a third component and a fourth component, wherein the first component is methylcellulose and/or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose having a viscosity value of 6 mPa·s or more, the second component is an enteric methacrylic acid copolymer, the third component is a water-insoluble alkyl (meth)acrylate ester copolymer and/or ethyl cellulose, and the fourth component is at least one selected from the group consisting of a plasticizer and a surfactant acceptable pharmaceutically or as a food additive, and wherein the first component is contained at a rate of 30 to 70% by mass and the second component is contained at a rate of 30 to 60% by mass with the sum of the rates of the first component and the second component being 70% by mass or more based on the total mass of the first component, the second component, the third component and the fourth component contained in the film, which is taken as 100% by mass.

Enteric hard capsule

An object of the present disclosure is providing a hard capsule made of a hard capsule film having enteric properties that can be molded by a cold gel method. An enteric hard capsule comprises a film containing a first component and a second component, and further containing at least one component selected from the group consisting of a third component, a fourth component, and a fifth component, wherein the first component is a nonionic water-soluble cellulose compound having a viscosity value within a range of from 100 mPa·s to 100,000 mPa·s, the second component is an enteric methacrylic acid copolymer, the third component is an enteric cellulose compound, wherein the fourth component is a water-insoluble (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester copolymer, and the fifth component is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, a plasticizer, and a surfactant.

An object of the present invention is to improve the hardness of the capsule film of a hard capsule. The present invention improves the hardness of the capsule film of a hard capsule by adding a starch decomposition product, and/or at least one clay mineral selected from the group consisting of talc, bentonite, and kaolin, to a hard capsule film.

Hard capsule having improved hardness, and method for manufacturing same

An object of the present invention is to provide a hard capsule improved in deposition of a gelling aid on a hard capsule film. The gelling aid deposition is inhibited by adding a non-reducing disaccharide or a non-reducing disaccharide alcohol to the hard capsule film.
