[Solving Means] A control device according to the present technology includes a control unit. The control unit controls, on the basis of a detection result of a surgical instrument using a captured image of an eye to be examined which is imaged by an image pickup element of an ophthalmic microscope via a front lens, at least one of an imaging condition of the image pickup element or whether or not to perform inversion processing of making an image of a region inverted through the front lens a normal image.

The present technology relates to a medical system, a signal processing device, and a signal processing method capable of obtaining highly accurate three-dimensional (3D) information in real time. Further, first 3D information regarding an operative field is generated with a first algorithm by using an operative field image obtained by imaging the operative field. In a case where an area of interest is set in the operative field image, second 3D information regarding the area of interest is generated with a second algorithm different from the first algorithm.

A medical observation system acquires operative field data acquired by a medical observation device, detects a change in an optical system of the medical observation device, estimates a parameter representing a state of the optical system after a change occurs in the optical system in a case where the change in the optical system is detected, and sets a generation condition of three-dimensional information based on the operative field data by using an estimation result. The present technology can be applied to a surgery assisting system.
