A monitoring camera sets ON or OFF of swing correction in accordance with setting information about whether or not the swing correction of an image (that is, captured image) captured by an image sensor is performed, and corrects swing by cutting out a part of the captured image based on a swing detected value of a vibration sensor in a case where the swing correction is set ON. Thus, a reproduced image of high quality can be obtained.

The control pulses correspond to a number M (where M is an integer equal to or larger than four) of azimuthal tracks on the tape on which the number M of segmented data, obtained by dividing image data corresponding to one frame into the number M of segments, are recorded. One period of the control pulses corresponds to a number N (where N is a divisor of M) of azimuthal tracks, and a duty ratio pattern of the control pulses in a number L (L=M/N) of successive periods corresponding to one frame is different in each of a number K (where K is an integer equal to or larger than two) of successive frames.

A control apparatus for controlling a motor includes: a command unit for generating a command signal including a running command signal and a stopping command signal; a rotation sensor for generating an AC signal having a period corresponding to a rotational speed of the motor; a speed detector for detecting a rotational speed of the motor from the AC signal generated by the rotation sensor; a compensator for generating a control signal for controlling the motor, and a driver for driving the motor in response to the control signal generated by the compensator. The compensator includes: a time measuring unit for generating a detection timing signal at predetermined time intervals when the detected signal from the speed detector is not inputted; a control signal renewal unit for changing the control signal by a predetermined amount in response to the detection timing signal of the time measuring unit to generate a new control signal; a memory for storing a value in response to the control signal from the control signal renewal unit as a memory value; a rotation error generator for generating a rotation error in response to the detected signal from the speed detector, and a control signal generator for generating the control signal by adding the memory value stored in the memory to the rotation error as an adding signal, and if the detected signal from the speed detector is not inputted, the control signal is changed in a step-by-step manner by the time measuring unit and the control signal renewal unit.

An editing apparatus is for use with a tape-form recording medium in which a tracking pilot signal and several synchronizing blocks each of which contains a synchronizing signal, a synchronizing signal number and a recording mode data are multiplex-recorded into a first recording area of each track which has a plurality of recording areas. Using the synchronizing signal and the synchronizing signal number, a pilot sampling signal for determining the timing of sampling the pilot signal and an editing timing signal for determining the recording location in a desired recording area following the first recording area are produced. Using the recording mode data, the discrimination of the current recording mode is carried out. After the tracking control is executed through sampling the tracking pilot signals from adjacent tracks at timing of the pilot sampling signal, a data signal is recorded into the desired recording area after the first recording area according to the editing timing signal.

Apparatus for editing data in a selected area on a track of a tape

A tape medium recording and/or reproducing apparatus suited for use in recording or reproducing information on or from a plurality of tracks on a tape medium. Each track has first and second regions defined therein in a direction conforming to the direction of scan. Each first region has a positioning signal recorded therein while a tracking pilot signal is recorded in selected ones of the first regions. The apparatus includes a positioning signal detector for detecting the positioning signal to provide a reproducing position signal, and a reproduction timing generator for generating a reproduction timing signal at a first timing determined by the reproducing position signal. A timing memory is provided to store the length of time from the timing, at which the rotational reference position of a cylinder has been detected, to the first timing. When no positioning signal can be detected, a timing protector generates a pseudo timing signal based on a previously detected timing stored in the timing memory and also for combining the pseudo timing signal with the reproduction timing signal to provide a protection timing signal. A tracking control section performs tracking control in reference to a level determined by the pilot signals sampled by the sample timing signal. The apparatus can perform insert-recording by determining the timing therefor based on the reproduction timing signal.

Also included is a servo circuit coupled through a signal line to the signal processing circuit to be responsive to the control signal from the signal processing circuit. Editing device which selectively edits a section of a helical track

A tracking error detecting circuit in which tracking error detecting pilot signals having different frequencies are added to a main signal every track and recorded onto a magnetic recording medium, and upon reproduction, reproduction output levels of the pilot signals reproduced as crosstalks from both of adjacent tracks are compared, and a tracking error is detected. n signals having the same frequencies as those of the pilot signals and whose phases are different are generated and multiplied to the reproduction signal. Unnecessary components are eliminated by n LPFs (Lowpass filters). The amplitude values of the reproduced pilot signals are vector separated and detected. Further, the vector separated amplitude values are vector synthesized and detected. Therefore, by multiplying the signals having the same frequencies as those of the pilot signals, the synchronous detection is performed. The influence due to the undetected pilot phases is solved by detecting by performing the vector separation and synthesis. Therefore, the amplitude values can be certainly detected by the synchronous detection. The signal to noise ratio of the reproduction pilot signals can be determined by the LPFs (lowpass filters). Even in the case of a bad transmission signal to noise ratio of the reproduction pilot signals which could not be coped by the conventional construction, the amplitude values can be certainly detected.
