The present invention provides a slot antenna in which the radiation toward the zenith direction is not obstructed although it is arranged on an upper side of a ground conducting plate. The antenna deviceoperates as the slot antenna by providing a slotin an upper plate portionof a shield case. The shield caseis provided on a ground conducting plate. The slotis composed of a first apertureextending in a straight line, a second aperturecommunicating with one end of the longitudinal direction of the first aperture, and a third aperturecommunicating with the other end of the longitudinal direction of the aperture. The aperturesandhave the same triangular shapes which are point-symmetrical to the center of the aperture. When the power is fed by a feeding pinto excite the slot, the directions of the electric fields generated at the aperturesandare inclined to the direction of the electric field generated at the apertureand the electric fields of the aperturesandcancel the electric field of the aperture

Slot antenna having high gain in zenith direction

A transmitter-receiver unit has an antenna patch and an IF circuit, between which there is a large frequency difference, on a first side of a multilayer substrate. A high frequency circuit (including a local oscillator and a demodulation unit) except for the IF circuit is provided on a second side of the multilayer substrate. A ground conductive pattern is provided in the interior of the multilayer substrate. The circuit conductive pattern exposed at the second side of the multilayer substrate and a feeding point of the antenna patch conduct to each other through a through hole.

Miniaturized transmitter-receiver unit

Conventional portable telephones have a problem that their space factor is bad and the size thereof is increased because a transmitter/receiver unit and a battery are disposed in parallel with each other in a case formed of a lower cover and an upper cover. In a portable telephone of the present invention, the frame member of a transmitter/receiver unit is attached to a mother substrate in the state that the frame member is partly interposed between the mother substrate and a battery. With this arrangement, the space between the mother substrate and the battery can be effectively used, whereby there can be provided a small portable telephone having a good space factor.

Portable telephone

Since the transmit-receive unit of the prior art comprises the housing,made from a metal, the weight of the housing is large and the obtained transmit-receive unit for use in a portable telephone which is required to be light in weight becomes heavy. A transmit-receive unit comprises a housing which is made from a synthetic resin and has a conductive surface layer. Therefore, the housing is lighter in weight than a housing made from a metal of the prior art and makes it possible to provide a lightweight transmit-receive unit suitable for use in a portable telephone.

Transmit-receive unit

According to the present invention there is provided a transmitter-receiver unit for a portable telephone, comprising a transmission circuit block, a reception circuit block, an antenna terminal member with an antenna connected thereto for transmitting a transmission signal outputted from the transmission circuit block and for receiving a reception signal to be inputted to the reception circuit block, an antenna duplexer connected to the antenna terminal member, a printed wiring board having connectors and wiring patterns, the connectors having terminals connected to the transmission circuit block and the reception circuit block and also connected to the wiring patterns, and a frame for holding the printed wiring board, wherein the antenna terminal member is disposed at a corner position of one side of the printed wiring board, and the connectors are formed so that they each can be disposed at any of opposed positions on both sides of the printed wiring board.

Transmitter-receiver unit for portable telephone

According to the electronic device of the invention, the convex parts formed on the case is inserted into the engagement holes provided on the thermal conduction member, and the front ends of the convex parts are caulked to eliminate the plays. Further, the tongue-form pieces are formed on each of the two sides parallel to each other, the clasps are formed upright on the case, and the tongue-form pieces are hooked by the lower sides of the clasps. Further, the two sides where the tongue-form pieces of the thermal conduction member are formed are provided with slits that make it easy to deflect the tongue-form pieces, which facilitates the work to hook by slanting the upper sides of the clasps on the case, and further eliminates the plays.

In a box-shaped molded resin body having side walls and a flat plate part in which a heat discharging plate made of a metal is embedded, a part of the heat discharging plate is exposed from a through hole in the flat plate part and the side walls, and an electronic part mounted on a printed board assembled in the molded resin body is come into contact with the heat discharging plate exposed from the through hole, thereby discharging the heat generated from the electronic part by the heat discharging plate.

An electronic apparatus is provided to efficiently dissipate the heat generated by a heat generating electronic component. The electronic apparatus comprises a framework formed of a metal sheet to form an open end, a printed board disposed in the framework and having the heat generating component thereon, an inner cover disposed inside the framework by soldering and formed of a metal sheet having a tongue-shaped portion and an opening portion formed by being cut and hung, and an outer cover arranged so as to cover the open end of the framework and formed of a metal sheet having a tongue-shaped portion formed by being cut and hung, wherein the tongue-shaped portion of the inner cover is held in contact with the top of the heat generating component and, wherein the tongue-shaped portion of the outer cover is held in contact with the tongue-shaped portion of the inner cover through the opening portion of the inner cover.

A housing includes a frame having side walls and a bottom portion and further having an engaging portion along an opening brim of the frame and a cover engaged with the engaging portion to close the opening of the frame, the engaging portion having a vertical plane formed as an inner surface of each side wall of the frame and also having a stepped portion which faces the opening brim side of the frame, the stepped portion including a horizontal plane which is approximately perpendicular to the vertical plane and an inclined plane which is contiguous to the horizontal plane and which is inclined toward the bottom portion side as it approaches the vertical plane, the cover having a flat marginal portion and a plurality of first engaging pawls projecting from the marginal portion and inclined at a predetermined angle relative to the marginal portion, the marginal portion of the cover being brought into surface contact with the horizontal plane of the engaging portion, the first engaging pawls being brought into surface contact with the inclined plane of the engaging portion, and the tips of the first engaging pawls being allowed to bite into the vertical plane of the engaging portion and thereby engaged with the vertical plane.
