The electric tool includes a base having an opening portion and a bottom face; a blade being projected downward from the bottom face of the base through the opening portion of the base, the blade being capable of cutting while sliding the bottom face of the base on an upper face of a work piece; a motor driving the blade; a housing accommodating the motor. The bottom face of the base is at least partially coated with a resin including fluorine.

Electric tool

A counterweight is provided to cancel axial vibration of a plunger of a saber saw. Swing rollers, rotatably supported at both ends of a roller shaft provided at a rear end of the plunger, are interposed between a pair of opposing tracks formed in an axially elongated groove formed on the counterweight.

Cutting mechanism for a saber saw

A saber saw includes a housing, a plunger supported within the housing and being free to reciprocate, and a swingable guide sleeve provided within the housing and connected with the plunger for imparting a swinging motion to the plunger. In the saber saw, a plunger holding device includes a cylindrical resilient member provided between the guide sleeve and the housing. The resilient member is in fluid-tight contact with the housing.

Two different eccentric shaft portions are formed on a secondary shaft. A contact plate has two different contact portions which are selectively brought into contact with two eccentric shaft portions of the secondary shaft. The contact plate is attached to a guide sleeve. A plunger is slidably coupled in the guide sleeve. A saw blade, attached to a front end of the plunger, causes an orbital motion according to a phase difference between two eccentric shaft portions regardless of attached direction (i.e., normal or upside-down) of the saw blade.

A counterweight is provided to cancel axial vibration of a plunger of a saber saw. Swing rollers, rotatably supported at both ends of a roller shaft provided at a rear end of the plunger, interpose between a pair of opposing tracks formed in an axially elongated groove formed on the counterweight.

A front cover, covering an outer surface of a saber saw housing, is made of an electrically and thermally insulating rigid material. A resilient member is provided on an outer surface of the front cover partly so as to form a front-end grip to be held by a user. The friction coefficient of the resilient member is larger than that of the front cover.

Insulating cover for a saber saw

A saber saw having a shoe pressing against a workpiece for holding an entire device at its given position during cutting operation. A saw blade extends from a main body and is reciprocally moveable in the extending direction. The shoe is pivotally supported to a shoe support member detachably fixed to a shoe adapter movably held in the main body. A torsion spring is interposed between the shoe and the shoe support member for urging an upper portion of the shoe toward the main body. The rear end of the shoe adapter is provided with a rubber damper in pressure contact with the main body.

A saber saw includes a housing. A motor is contained in the housing. A second shaft is rotatably connected to the housing, and is rotated by the motor. A plunger connected to the housing is used for holding a saw blade. The plunger is free to reciprocate. A motion converting mechanism provided between the second shaft and the plunger operates for converting rotation of the second shaft into reciprocation of the plunger. A guide member is connected to the housing, and has a track surface. The plunger is moved along the track surface of the guide member during reciprocation of the plunger.

Cutting mechanism for saber saw

A blade is inserted into a slit which extends in an axial direction of a plunger. A bore extends in a direction normal to the axial direction of the plunger and merges with the slit. A locking pin is slidably disposed in the bore. A blade holder is coupled around the plunger and slidable in the axial direction of the plunger. The blade holder shifts in an axially forward direction to generate a pushing force applied to the locking pin. The locking pin engages with a hole of the blade. Furthermore, the blade holder shifts in an axially rearward direction to release the pushing force applied to the locking pin. The locking pin disengages from the hole of the blade.

Portable electric saw

An electric-powered tool comprises: a housing; and a brush motor contained in the housing, having: brush holders, each of brush holders holding a carbon brush; and brush terminals, made of an electrical conductive and elastic material having at least one blade portion, a palm portion, and an arm portion, for providing electrical connection thereof to the brushes through the brush holder by catching and griping the brush holder by the blade and the palm portions, the arm portion extending from the palm portion to an end where a fixing portion is provided, each of the brush terminals being fixed by the fixing portion with a positional offset to develop a contact pressure between the palm portion and the brush holder. Further, the arm portion is further extending over the fixing portion to form a connecting portion. On the other hand, one end of a field coil is connected to a connector. Thus, the brush holder is connected to the field coil through the connection portion and the connector.

Electric-powered tool

A power tool includes an internal wiring structure having a first terminal board secured to a commutator motor stator and a second terminal board releasably engaged with the first terminal board to electrically connect terminals on the first and second terminal board. The second terminal board includes first and second conductive resilient brush terminals respectively resiliently engaged with first and second conductive brush holders when the stator is installed in a housing of the power tool. Internal wiring of the power tool is thereby automatically completed upon installation of the stator in the housing.

An electric circular saw of the type including a mechanism for tilting a base relative to the plane of a blade is provided wherein a side knob for being gripped by the user during cutting operation pivotally connects the base and a body of the circular saw through a base attachment portion and a bevel plate having an arcuate guide groove extending through an angular distance corresponding to a tilt angle of the base relative to the blade. The side knob is threaded to the base attachment portion and movable together with the base when the base is tilted. The side knob is spaced from a guide surface of the base by a distance at least larger than a maximum radius of the side knob. The distance between the base and the side knob is constant regardless of the relative angular position of said base and the blade, so that circular saw can be held stably and hence is capable of performing an accurate cutting operation.
