A mechanical pencil includes: a barrel; a cushion spring that has a rear end supported by the barrel; a sleeve that is biased forward in an axial direction by the cushion spring and movable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction by an impact applied from outside of the barrel in an elastically supported state; a chuck spring that has a front end supported by the sleeve; a chuck that chucks a writing lead for a mechanical pencil; a writing lead tube that is fitted to the chuck and biased rearward in the axial direction together with the chuck by the chuck spring; and a contact sliding part that suppresses movement of the sleeve in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction.

A writing instrument according to an embodiment of the invention including, a chuck that chucks a writing lead, wherein the chuck includes a first chuck pawl which comes into point contact or line contact with the writing lead to press the writing lead so as to apply first contact stress to the writing lead; and a second chuck pawl which presses the writing lead so as to apply, to the writing lead, second contact stress that is lower than the first contact stress, and the first contact stress is configured such that, when a prescribed impact is applied to the writing lead, a contact portion of the writing lead subjected to the first contact stress fractures and absorbs the prescribed impact.

A needle threading device is disclosed which comprises a first mechanism having a hole for receiving a needle and a slit for receiving a thread, a second mechanism having a threader pin and pivotally supported by the first mechanism so as to be pivotable between a first position and a second position different from the first position, the threader pin enabling the thread to pass through an eye of the needle when the second mechanism is pivoted to the second position from the first position, a first biasing member urging the second mechanism to the first position, an operating member causing the second mechanism to be pivoted to the second position against an action of the first biasing member, and a second biasing member urging the operating member and the second mechanism in a direction in which they are spaced away from each other.

Needle threading device and operation unit therefor

A stick-shaped material propelling container which comprises a barrel having a spiral groove formed in its inner peripheral surface, a guide tube having slits and inserted in the barrel so as to be rotatable relative to the barrel and axially unmovable, and a stick-shaped material holding member provided with side plates and protrusions and slidably inserted in the tube with the protrusions being engaged with the grooves through the slits. The groove has a structure for causing rear end portions of the side plates to come closer to each other and for causing tip end portions of the side plates to be separated radially outward from each other according to the mutually approaching movements of the rear end portions of the side plates, when the protrusions are slid along a tip end portion of the groove according to relative rotation of the barrel and the tube.

Stick-shaped material propelling container

A mechanical pencil comprises a shaft cylinder (), a lead pipe () axially movably inserted into the shaft cylinder () and biased in a retract direction, and a chuck body () provided within the shaft cylinder () in front of the lead pipe () for releasably griping a writing lead (S). The lead pipe () and the chuck body () are separated, the lead pipe () is inserted into the shaft cylinder () with axial movement thereof being permitted and circumferential rotation thereof being restricted, and the chuck body () is positioned within the shaft cylinder () in front of the lead pipe () so as to be movable in an axial direction and circumferentially rotatable. A lead rotation mechanism () is provided between a back part of the chuck body () and a front part of the lead pipe (). When the lead pipe () is advanced by a knocking operation or retracted by the release of the knocking operation, when writing pressure is applied to the writing lead (S), and when the writing pressure is released, the lead rotating mechanism () rotates the chuck body (), but does not transmit the rotation force to the lead pipe ().

There is provided a liquid applicator allowing a liquid to be easily replenished and replaced, as well as capable of containing a large amount of liquid. The liquid applicator includes a main body provided with a tank inside thereof, a tip shaft that is coupled to the tip end side of the main body, and a brush that is fixed in the tip shaft and projecting from the tip end of the tip shaft. A liquid may be sucked into a tank by releasing the coupling of the main body and the tip shaft, sinking a tip end opening of the main body in the liquid, and sliding a sliding cylinder attached to the rear portion of the main body.

At the storage time, the cover is located at the locking position.

Liquid supply device

A lead cartridge adapted for storing leads and capable of being detachably connected to a lead feeding mechanism of a mechanical pencil to supply the leads one by one to the lead feeding mechanism, the mechanical pencil being provided with an interference part, the lead feeding mechanism being provided with a receiving part. The lead cartridge includes a tank part for storing the leads, a tip end connection part capable of being detachably fitted with the receiving part of the lead feeding mechanism, a lead port provided on a tip end side of the tank part to allow one of the leads in the tank part to pass from the tank part, and a swing cover arranged in the lead cartridge to be swingable between a closing position where the swing cover closes the lead port, and an opening position where the swing cover opens the lead port.

Lead cartridge and mechanical pencil with built-in lead cartridge

A liquid supply implement can accommodate a large amount of liquid without being subjected to limitation of a capacity of a temporary storage chamber temporarily storing the liquid overflowing a tank, or can reduce the capacity of the temporary storage chamber. A tank formed inside a rear barrel and accommodating a liquid is divided into a plurality of tank portions. In order that all the tank portions do not communicate with a tip end supply element between the tank and a pen tip, any one of a plurality of through-holes of an inner plug respectively communicating with the respective tank portions is allowed to communicate with one through-hole formed in a lateral wall of a front barrel. By rotating the rear barrel with respect to the front barrel, selected tank portion can be switched.

Liquid supply implement

An eraser dispenser is provided which can store in a dispenser body an eraser longer than the overall length of the dispenser body. The eraser dispenser enables the eraser to be used without replacement with a new one for a long period of time. The eraser dispenser includes: a dispenser body which is enclosed by an outer circumferential wall having a distal opening and has a storing chamber capable of storing therein an eraser that is longer than the overall length of the dispenser body; and a cover which covers the dispenser body. The eraser dispenser further includes; an external operation member which partially projects from the outer circumferential wall and is operated from the outside of the dispenser body; a driving roller which is operated by the external operating member; a receiving member which is disposed opposite to the driving roller with the eraser held therebetween; and a stopper which prevents a rotary button as the external operation member from undergoing reverse turn.

Eraser dispenser

A cartridge type liquid feeding container is capable of being used by refilling or replacing a liquid instead of throwing away the container itself, and can feed out the liquid inside the cartridge. The liquid feeding container includes a body, a manipulating body which is mounted movable with respect to the body and is made capable of being manipulated from an outside, a cartridge which is loaded into the body so as to be attachable and detachable, a liquid supplying body for supplying the liquid inside the tank portion to the outside, a piston rod which is workable on the piston to press the piston of the cartridge forward, and movable inside the cartridge case and body, and a conversion mechanism for converting a manipulating force applied to the manipulating body into forward movement of the piston rod.

Cartridge type liquid feeding container

A side knock type feeding mechanism for feeding an object to be fed inside a body by side knock. A front barrel which houses an object to be fed and is capable of feeding the object to be fed from a tip end opening, a knock button provided on a side portion of the front barrel so as to project and retract with respect to the front barrel, a rotary member which is inside the front barrel, rotates in a predetermined direction by knock of the knock button as a result that the knock button works, and rotates in an opposite direction by releasing the knock, a piston for feeding out the object to be fed, and a conversion mechanism for converting the rotation of the rotary member into a forward travelling motion of the piston in an axial direction inside the front barrel.
