A control apparatus for use in an elevator is constructed in a compact and low-cost design without degrading the quality of service of the elevator by minimizing the current flowing through a hoisting motor. The control apparatus includes a load sensor and a speed command generator. The speed command generator alters acceleration and deceleration according to an elevator car net load and the direction of run by setting both the acceleration during acceleration phase and the deceleration during deceleration phase to be a first acceleration when the car net load is within a normal load region, setting the acceleration to be a second acceleration that is lower than the first acceleration and the deceleration to be a third acceleration that is higher than the first acceleration when the car is in a lower operation with the car net load in a light load region, setting the acceleration to be the third acceleration and the deceleration to be the second acceleration when the car is in a raise operation with the car net load being within the light load region, setting the acceleration to be the second acceleration and the deceleration to be the third acceleration when the car is in the raise operation with the car net load being within a heavy load region, and setting the acceleration to be the third acceleration and the deceleration to be the second acceleration when the car is in the lower operation with the car net load being within the heavy load region.

Control apparatus for use in an elevator

An elevator control apparatus capable of reducing the risk of passengers being confined in an elevator car and capable of preventing damage to equipment as well as danger to passengers. The apparatus includes a safety circuit for detecting an abnormality of the elevator, a flip-flop for storing the operation of the safety circuit, a door-openable region detecting circuit for detecting that a position at which the car is stopped is within a region within which the door of the car can be opened, a control circuit for effecting a rescue operation on the basis of the outputs of the flip-flop and the door-openable region detecting circuit. After an operation of the safety circuit a control circuit continuously outputs a signal for canceling the memory of the flip-flop 35 after the passage of a first predetermined period of time until a second predetermined period of time passes. After the passage of the second predetermined period of time, the elevator car is prohibited from starting.

Apparatus for rescuing passengers in a malfunctioning elevator

A control device for an elevator which automatically regulates an offset to correct the offset amount contained in a control signal applied to the base circuit of an inverter for driving the hoisting motor of the elevator with a regulator for generating the control signal to detect the output current of the inverter while the elevator is stopped to operate to correct the current to a predetermined value or lower, thereby holding the corrected value even during the operation of the elevator.

A speed control apparatus for an elevator is so constructed that an operating period of time is limited on the basis of a predetermined current command value or an output from a detector for detecting current to be supplied to an induction motor, thereby to render a load time factor of the induction motor a predetermined value or less and to maintain at or below a permissible value a temperature rise value based on a quantity of heat generated by a winding of the induction motor. Thus, the induction motor is prevented from burning even when the induction motor is operated at low speed in, for example, a manual operation mode for installation, maintenance and inspection, or the like.
