A floor system includes a plurality of panels placed on a base floor. A space is formed between the panels and the base floor for laying cables. A plurality of sliding plates are arranged on the base floor. A plurality of supports are provided and each support of the plurality of supports is arranged on each of the sliding plates so as to freely slide. The plurality of panels are supported by the plurality of supports by being fixed on a pedestal of the each support of the plurality of supports. The plurality of panels are hence connected to each other to form a single floor surface. The dynamic coefficient of friction between the bottom of the supports and the sliding plates is selected to be a value within a range of 0.09 to 0.25.

System floor and construction method thereof

A panel for free access to a signal cable and a power cable is installed on the floor of an office room and forms a network of signal cables in an office. The posts of this panel are mounted on the floor. A floor plate is secured to the upper ends of the posts. A rack plate is arranged between the floor plate and the floor, and the rack plate is secured to the posts. The height of the floor plate and the rack plate is adjusted by adjusting the engaging position by rotating a leg to be engaged with the threaded holes of the posts. The floor plates are composed of a plate made of glass, reinforced cement mixed with foamable styrol or an aluminum honeycomb structure. The rack plate is composed of a transparent polypropylene plate. Further, the surface of the floor plate is covered with a surface material such as a carpet. The signal cables are arranged in the space between the floor plates and the rack plates. The power cables are arranged in the space between the rack plates and the floor. Electronic components are mounted on the rack plates. Therefore, the power cables, the signal cables and the other electronic components are completely isolated from each other, and the modification of the layout of office automation equipment can be readily carried out by an authorized person.

A floor panel having a rectangular floor base integrally with a convex prop in each corner portion and a concave portion on the upper surface of each prop. There is a height adjusting screw with a plate embedded in the concave portion of each prop, variably for adjusting the height of the support position in a predetermined range between a position lower than the upper surface of the prop and a position higher than the upper surface of the prop. A floor panel is supported by each prop of the floor base and has through holes for accessing the height adjusting screw for adjusting the support height at each corner according to the prop. This invention relates to an interior panel unit having a structure in which a plurality of rectangular floor base members to be installed on a foundation floor of a room are connected to each other by base joint members. Each floor panel member supported by the fundamental support members and the connecting support members is arranged to assure a predetermined space with the corresponding floor base member. Cables and various types of equipment which constitute an office-automation system are mounted in the space defined by the floor panel member and the floor base member. The space defined by the floor panel member and the floor base member is partitioned by vertical and horizontal separator members. An engine starter and electric generator system transmits rotative power to a crankshaft to start an engine and generates electric power based on rotative power from the crankshaft after the engine has started. The engine starter and electric generator system includes a starter/generator operable selectively as a starter motor to produce the rotative power and a generator for generating the electric power, and an electric power supply device for supplying electric power to the starter motor. A power transmitting mechanism operatively interconnects the crankshaft and the starter/generator, for bidirectionally transmitting the rotative power between the crankshaft and the starter/generator. A transmission mechanism is disposed in the power transmitting mechanism, for changing the speed of rotation transmitted between the crankshaft and the starter/generator. The system also has a control device for controlling operation of the starter/generator and establishing different speed-reduction ratios for the transmission mechanism when the starter/generator operates as the generator and when the starter/generator operates as the starter motor.

An interior panel according to the present invention comprises a plurality of support units fixedly arranged on a floor slab, a panel member supported by the support units so as to be located over the slab surface at a predetermined distance therefrom, and a cable separator supported by the support units and dividing the space between the panel member and the slab surface into upper and lower space sections. Cables and electric devices in a signal system are arranged in the upper space section defined by the cable separator, and electric-system cables and devices in the lower space section. A bendable portion is provided at the peripheral edge portion of the cable separator so that an opening to connect the upper and lower space sections is formed by bending part of the bendable portion.
